Hinge coating?

Due to the wide stance of my rig, I’m picking up rock chips on the hinges. In one of the new Sema YouTube videos I saw a guy demonstrate this DIY coating from Seymour. I’m considering taking the hinges off and coating them with this stuff. What are you guys think?

Since my rig is the granite metallic, this might look good.

I just put a thin strip of PPF only on the portion that would most likely be chipped, not on the entire hinge.

Yup. As the other two said. PPF on the door hinges. Works great. Several kits on amazon that are pre cut too.

I did what everyone else did. I didn't use premade ones. I cut mine from some leftover PPF I had from another project.

I’m with the other suggestions to PPF the rock chip area instead of using that spray but if you do decide to pull off the hinges, you may damage the screw heads as they are a SOB to get off. Id imagine its far easier to mask around and spray.
