Just do one. make sure the remote works the Genie then program that remote directly to the HomeLink in the vehicle, then test the HomeLink.

Do this for both vehicles. Don't turn around and program the Homelink back to the Genie after training the Homelink button.

A common feature for these GDO's is the remote programming is a learn/delete process. The same button learns and deletes remotes.

For example: you learn the remote to the head unit, it works. You then program the car with the remote the program the car to the head, you just deleted the code.
Now we are getting somewhere. So learn one using the full process. In second vehicle, only learn the remote to the home link and do not do the process of learning the drive unit on the second vehicle.

Have you tried it with one of the vehicles parked out of range? Send the wife down for a loaf of bread and try it. Just a guess.

I've got 3 HomeLink vehicles (Jeep and 2 Fords) that all work fine with 2 different doors. So pretty sure it's not a HomeLink shortcoming.
Unfortunately, yes. I programmed the GMC and when the wife got home in the Gladiator, it didn't work anymore.

Wish I could help, but I’ve got three vehicles and four remotes all setup on the same opener working just fine 🤷‍♂️

Probably a shot in the dark, but how many times have you programmed to the garage opener? Could it be it's at the limit of how many remotes it can store? Maybe try resetting the opener back to "new" and then try programming? Like I said, just a random guess...

The problem. I have the Gladiator and GMC Sierra, both with Homelink. When I programmed the Gladiator to the garage door, the GMC's Homelink stopped working. When I reprogrammed the GMC, the Gladiator's Homelink stopped working. I can't get them both to program without canceling the other one out.

I have had this issue before when I had 2 vehicles with homelink and I am having it now. Hopefully someone on here can tell me if there is a solution.
That's what I am doing. The part about the green light is interesting. I have never seen a green light on my remote.
I guess I can just go back to carrying a remote around, but I really like the convenience of the "built in" operators.
We just moved, and I finally found the solution to getting three openers to work with two home link vehicles. What kind of openers are they? Ours are a variety of chamberlain and lift master of different ages. The color of the button on the motors is key. We have two red button, and one purple button. Different procedures. But easy once I found the right article.

This is what I’d suggest as well. Had issue with my Gladiator, Trail Boss, and Ascent. I’m sure previous home owner had vehicles programmed. So I cleared the unit and then programmed each vehicle without issue.

Found this on another forum. With a reply from another user confirming it worked for him as well.

Maybe work for you, too?

Resolved :) ... I had the same issue with my Toyota 4Ruuner and Toyota Tundra. Only 1 can be programmed and the other loses it. I have a Genie garage door (with rolling code) and what finally worked is when i reset the garage door opener by pressing and holding the learn button for 10 seconds. Then programmed the regular remote control that comes with the garage door. And then reprogramming both cars as i did before. This time though both kept the code.

When you are programming are you programming teh homelink to the GDO operator or are you programming the GDO remote to the homelink?

Some operators can only learn one remote code. I recommend using a working handheld remote and program it directly the the home link buttons in the vehicles and use teh same remote for each vehicle.

This is what i send to my customers.

PM me if you need a deeper dive. I may be able to help.
I just wanted to thank you for that link! I have been trying to add a second garage door to my Mojave homelink for a year now and could not get it to take. I followed the steps on your pdf and got it done in 10 minutes. I was also able to program the mini Cooper as well, so big day here!

People Work?
My 25 Canyon disappointingly did not come with Homelink.
I bought a Bob's Mirror for it and took care of it, but I also played with other options, including this $20 relay from Amazon that can be linked via wifi to Google Home, Alexa, and maybe some some others.
