I actually did blow out the stock rollover bar speaker on the right side. Awful scratching noise with some frequencies. Haven't done any upgrades.

Didn’t take long for my Jeep to blow out one of the roll bar speakers. The whole system was replaced and it now sounds great.

It’s been a long time since I have had a seriously upgraded car audio system (head unit, speakers, amps, and subs). Dedicating money to it is the biggest setback. That being said, maybe my ears have adjusted to crappy audio over time, but I don’t think the factory system is all that bad. When I blare music I turn the EQ settings down to preserve the speakers. When I’m listening like a normal human being I turn the settings back up for better tone. Since 2007 I have only blown one speaker between eight cars that me and my wife have owned with the “turn-down-EQ” method.

What system did you go with?

Stinger Heigh10, Alpine type r coaxial 6.5” and 6.5” component speakers, JL vx1000/5i, stinger 10 farad hybrid capacitor, kicker 10” L7, knuconcepts wiring. Also I added sound deadening to the floor, sound bar and speaker pods.

Mine lasted 2 months, 1400 miles. Any music with even slight base and the speaker in the roll bar above my head makes horrible noises.

I haven't even played my music very loud. I have had it high enough to hear at highway speeds, but not so loud that it overpowered Harleys coming up behind me.

Junk, or they have some serious manufacturing issues.

I have the premium sound group so what ever that is, they replaced the entire bar in like 2 hours good to go now!
