How to activate DRLs on Overland model

Can anyone give me a clue on how to activate the DRLs on a Gladiator Overland model? The overland doesn't come with working DRL's. I bought a Tazer mini and one thing I was hoping for was to turn the DRLs. I go through the menus and seem to have it set correctly to USA configuration and location set on fogs but it doesn't work. No DRLs. I've tried other locations too. Anyone out there have any ideas?

Yes, the lamps are there. But on the Overland they are not active. I bought a Tazer Mini programmer to hopefully activate the DRLs among other benefits. The Tazer has the ability to shift the DRL location to a vaiety of different lamps on the front of the vehicle. I've tried the dedicated DRLs and I've tried the Fogs. Has not worked.

This sounds like an issue for the dealer. DRLs are something that should be totally automatic and that you never have to think about. I have an Overland with the LED package and the DRLs work without any input from me. If you have the halogens they should still work the same. My wife has a sport that came with the halogens and those work fine too. We swapped in Oracles and they are awesome.

I have the Overland with factory LED lights, and no issues with the DRL's. They also have a ring around the headlights that comes on. I believe the DRL's come on automatically when it is put in drive. Park in front of something with tall glass windows and test things out.

If you cannot get them working, then reset everything, remove the Tazer, and take it to the dealer.

This might sound crazy, but you have them enabled on the UConnect settings, right?

Mine work no problem and show a check mark as being on in settings..

Well the setting for DRLs in UConnect did turn out to be the solution to my issue. I have to admit I never imagined that there would be a setting like that in the Uconnect menus. I'd better spend a little more time exploring all those settings.

Didn't realize you were talking about the HEADLIGHTS as you originally said fog lights and expected you went through the stock settings already.

Guess that's how things go.

I’ve got a 2021 Sport S with Max Tow and I also am not seeing the DRLs. The only thing I’ve done to stock is add Oracle LEDs headlights and replaced the DRL halogen bulbs with Oracle LEDs. The parking lights work and the DLRs come on in the auto setting but only at night when the headlights come on or when I manually turn on the headlights. The Uconnect setting is checked for the DLRs.

Any suggestions?

I remember a post about this somewhere. I think there is an issue with the Oracle LED bulbs that replace the Halogen bulbs. The DRL's don't work correctly with them installed. I don't remember all the details, but that is what I seem to recall from the thread.

I got no DRL's with the factory halogens, all I got was turn signals. I bought some DRL/turn signal switchbacks and now I get brilliant white LED DRL's, with amber LED turn signals. Perfect for what I wanted. Now, if you want only amber DRL's and turn signals, they make those too.

Did you ever figure this out? I am having the same issue. I have a 21 80th anniversary edition with both bulbs in the fender and both swapped for oracle LED's.

You may have them in backwards.
