The UAW strike is complicating the parts supply chain.

I went in for a set of tow hooks for my Ram and was quoted 3-5 days once they left the warehouse which is currently shut down.

Called my dealer this afternoon. They said parts are on the way to them as of this morning but cannot technically schedule my service until parts are received and in their system.

Called dealer again on Friday. You cannot just be scheduled for this recall work.
First you have to schedule an evaluation where they determine what parts you’ll need (contaminated vs uncontaminated), takes several hours. After that you get placed in a queue, which at my dealer is already half a dozen people long, for repairs based on parts availability. They are either getting enough parts for one repair a week or one a month, she wasn’t sure.

one repair a week is fine. Once a month is unacceptable and want them to buy my shit back so I can be done with this shit.

As of today, My JTRD (35k miles) has been sitting in the back lot of “Jeep Only” (Las Vegas) for almost two months now waiting for a new oil pump. Last week I inquired about the HPFP recall and they said that part is unavailable at this time.

They still should be putting you on a list to order when it does.

If you go to the jeep app website (not the app using phone) you'll see the recall section and there should be a way to order the part for the recall. That's what I did, and a week later I went to the dealership and asked to be scheduled for the recall. I mentioned that I had filled out a form to order the parts but if they couldn't see that online then to please order them for me. I'm not sure which one worked, but a week later, my pump is at the dealership. I should mention that using my phone app it would alternate back and forth between "parts available" and "parts unavailable" when I ordered them on the mopar site. It seems they aren't making the parts available for everyone at once?
It seems every place is different: they scheduled my replacement a month in advance to allow for the part to arrive. They WOULD NOT schedule an inspection ahead of time. I asked them again today could they inspect it so as to see if it needs more than just the pump. What that serviceperson said was that I couldn't do that "because they will inspect it when they remove the pump". That's not what the recall procedure says, and it's not what the parts guy at the same dealership told me - he said it was supposed to be inspected before ordering any parts - even just the pump. My recall falls under 01A and there is another number I think for the same basic recall. Lots of conflicting info from my dealership and it seems as every place is different.
