Hey all,
Have a 2022 JT with the 3.0 Ecodiesel and around 45k miles.

Can anyone tell me if the sound it's making while priming (2 presses of the start button) is normal?!
Video here:

Everything is in perfect working order, but there's an RPM-dependent whining noise that the dealer has not been able to identify and fix (2 pulleys and a whole 8HP75 transmission have been replaced, without addressing/correcting the issue). I used a stethoscope and found the whining noise is loudest around the HPFP cover.

After I turn off the engine, it makes a BUZZing sound in the same area (around HPFP) for around 1 minute 20 seconds. Normal also!??!

Z96 recall appears as COMPLETED for my Vehicle VIN. Have had no way of confirming if in fact this was done.

Mine makes that high pitch priming sound only after changing the fuel filter. Sound after shut off engine is normal. Should have a recalled performed sticker attached under the hood and fuel door.

The buzzing after shut down is normal. It lasts for a few minutes. It's a relay for the fuel pump.

It's actually the throttle valve. It closes instantly when you shut it down with the push button, then cycles a couple of times, and ends up in the open position. It shuts to prevent violent shaking during shutdown. Just release the charge hose, move it to the side, start it, have someone shut it down, and watch it. you can even touch the butterfly and feel the buzzing, and it changes pitch.

Are you describing the reason for the priming sound (attached in the video), or the buzzing sound after engine shut-off?

I am not so concerned as for the buzzing sound after shut-off as many ppl have confirmed as normal. Is the weird sound at priming that seems odd to me, specially due to the whining noise the engine has while running.

That's not a priming sound, sounds like the throttle valve. Same as at shutdown, it "homes" itself when power is applied, before starting, as well as when you shut down.

Mine makes the loud whining/squealing noise almost every cold start, it really does sounds like a fuel priming noise. If it's the throttle valve, that's the loudest throttle valve I've ever heard. The buzz after shutdown is the turbo cooling pump from what I've been told, but it looks like it is actually fuel related:

There is not s pump specifically for the turbo. The cooling lines come off of the low pressure egt to cool the turbo
