I can’t imagine going back to a car without apple carplay. I didn’t know I needed it. But I do.

I love the heated seats and wheel. I also loved the cooling seats and fridge built into the center console of my Land Rover I just sold.

I got Air Conditioning in mine and would love to do away with it so I can spend more time with the top off and doors off. My AC went out in my JKU at around the 52,000 mile mark and I never got it fixed. Sold it to the dealership with it not working. All I need is a little heat for the winter time.
So don’t turn it on?? And just take your top and doors off more.?

I've turned tables on an automatic in a Jeep. This is my first non Wagoneer with an auto and I'm kind of enjoying it. As I'm becoming a senior citizen my old bones are getting tired of throwing gears in my daily driver. Don't get me wrong as I still have an 07 JKU Rubi and a 72 Commando with manuals.
I have also been converted to the heated seats, not so much the heated steering wheel yet but who knows

I'm old school. I shave with a straight razor. I drive a stick. I love the heated steering wheel. Can't stand numb hands in the winter.
Man, you have me beat. Safety razor but not a straight razor.

My first car didn't even have heat. Drove 3 New England winters with a candle sitting in a fish bowl.
I have found that as I have mostly worn out my own physical body, I need some help from outside sources.-
reconstructed shoulders require- arm rests, power windows, locks,
torn tendons in foot/ankle/knee- cruise control, auto in daily driver
bad back- heated seats
arthritis- heated steering wheel
shop related deafness- clear radio
general crotchetyness- top that comes off

Seriously, fumbling through 3 or 4 clicks on my JK to dim the screen while night driving has me loving this!

For me, It's side steps (before "rock sliders") & mud flaps, but now will not continue on without either.
Function over fashion wins again, as I age...

This truck certainly makes me feel soft. I used to give people with new vehicles a really hard time. Especially those who 'NEEDED" to have all these nice features. But I was just bragging this week about how 'it sure was nice remote starting and hoping into a warm truck, with tasty buns, and a wheel to warm my hands". I felt softer than I've ever been hahaha. I guess tho an aging body does that, but given the opportunity I would no go without - in a modern vehicle anyway.

The wife will not ride in the jeep with top off or doors off unless there's no air that works. If I had to guess at it I'll bet for the last 4 yrs I owned my JKU she may have rode in it 3 or 4 times and that was only in the winter time. She's never been in one with the doors off, to redneck for her, or that's what she says.

I had heated seats in my Ford Focus before the Gladiator, but I didn't get the cold weather package on this one. (Too good of a deal for everything else I wanted, and I honestly overlooked it by accident). But do kick myself for it. Upside is that the heat works really well and the Jeep's interior has a smaller cubic footprint, so I swear the whole thing warms up faster than any other car I've had.

As for creature comforts... I'd say the Armorlite interior. I HATE trying to clean carpets, especially with dog hair. Having that system and allowing me to not worry about muddy boots, dog hair, sand, spills... 100% worth every penny.

I actually add heated seats to my 12' JKU when I was in Virginia, wife loved it,

They were nice when it was cold. good thing I kept in a garage up there, Gladiator heated steering wheels is hot, Couple weeks ago got up on a Sunday to go to work it was like 30 out felt like 28, truck was outside with the soft-top on it was cold on the way to work, I did enjoy the steering wheel, and I always enjoy the heated seats, usually just use heated seats and no dash heat!

"What kind of complete wuss needs a heated steering wheel and heated seats in a jeep" I used to say...well, now that would be me!

Those accessories have become my favorite features that I would never have ordered from the factory, but came with my current JTR and I would have to have again.

So, yes I'm now officially a hypocrite. ?

Anyone else start off hating a certain feature and now can't live without it?
My JTR has them and I bought a JTR because they have this type of creature comfort. Where is it written that in order to be a "real Jeeper" you have got to be uncomfortable. When in the Army, I lived in less than comfortable conditions here and abroad and there is nothing admirable about it. Your crotch is wet, you are cold, you are baking hot, stinging nettles are driving you crazy, mud up to your ass, dust so thick you cannot breath. It's BS. When I get out of my Jeep I know the environment will change and I am prepared for it. Inside my Jeep I know what the environment is, and I am welcoming it.....

I live in a warm climate and thought I'd never use the heated seats. Turns out I use it to warm up my glutes and hamstrings before I play tennis. :)
