I did it!!!!

I bought my first Jeep!!! I bought a 2025 base model Gladiator Rubicon in the anvil color.

Any suggestions on videos to watch or websites for a newbie?

If I put seat covers on my front seats will I be able to feel the heated seats?

Another question, I normally change oil in my vehicles every 5K miles. The salesman told me to change my Gladiator every 3K. Does that sound right to you?

First congrats! I wouldn’t think heated seats would be a big deal in LA but I guess it’s all relative!

As far as changing oil frequency there are tons of discussions here so you can read all about them. My personal suggestion is make your first change between 1-2,000 miles then at 5,000 then every 5K thereafter. It’s easy to remember that way. Use a good synthetic oil and filter and you‘ll be fine!

Nobody told you about the 2025 models? Oh my!

Just messing with you. Welcome and enjoy the show.

I have denim covers on my Grand Cherokee seats. Yes you will feel the heat. It takes a bit longer and maybe not as warm as it could. I did not cover the JT seats for this reason.

Congrats...... Few mods to make your ride even better.

1) Level the front... Depending on the rake you have, choose the correct kit
2) If you have the Alpine Premium System (nav on the radio) Take a pillow and place it under the driver side passenger seat.... It works... trust me.
3) Replace your dash speakers with a quality brand (kickers usually bolt right in)
4) An Alien or Spider shade is good to have when you pop the tops...Keeps the sun from destroying you.

Enjoy the truck

Yes you will feel the heated seats. I have center seat covers on mine and the seats still heat up toasty.

Without the pillow, you do not feel the bass in the seat. With the pillow, you will feel the bass.
It's the polyfill method basically..... I tried three pillows across the seat and it muffled it too much. Experimented and found this got me the best sound bass wise.

Awesome!! Welcome. I change my oil every 5k. My heated seat are F'n hot to me and i rarely use them. I think you'll be fine with seat covers. I'd recommended a arm rest cover, dead peddle, stubby antenna

I have always changed my oil at 7k..... Put 220k miles on my Titan with this method (traded it in for the Gladiator). But now you guys have me rethinking it. I NEVER trust the ECU oil change interval. I always go by mileage. Time for some research

@Bigcatfish, I'm glad you took the plunge. Your previous post garnered a lot of dialogue and you took your time and got the right Gladiator for you. Congrats

This board has a ton of useful info. One of the best forums I've been on (I've been on a lot).

Every 5k is often enough.

This is straight from the owners manual:
NOTE:
Under no circumstances should oil change intervals
exceed 10,000 miles (16,000 km), 12 months or
350 hours of engine run time, whichever comes first.
The 350 hours of engine run or idle time is generally
only a concern for fleet customers.
