I typically snowboard, but haven't been in a few years.
Pic was from a couple nights ago, my son blew an upper radiator hose on the way to work. I got one from the local parts store and headed up there. We swapped it out in the parking lot.
I swung into a empty lower parking lot to let the dog play in the snow for a few minutes. Snapped the pic with my phone on night mode.

I posted this in another thread but here is a popular winter trail in the Anchorage area of Alaska. Usually we wait until the ice is about 2 ft thick on the Knik Glacier lake before it's relatively safe. About 3 or 4 years ago an unfortunate Jeep broke through the ice, so there are some dangers if you aren't careful or familiar with the area.

Sounds like a very productive photo opportunity. Wish we got pics of the pup in the snow too!

houston barely gets a winter if one at all...and of course 1 millimeter of snow every 7 years

Incredibly cool. But I wouldn’t venture out there without a knowledgeable guide.
