Can’t resist. Winter in southern AZ. This is our reward for suffering a few months of heat.

I'm someone who really likes my seasons, but I gotta admit.... That doesn't look too bad right now. Luckily I'll be down there for a few days in a couple of weeks.

I posted this in another thread but here is a popular winter trail in the Anchorage area of Alaska. Usually we wait until the ice is about 2 ft thick on the Knik Glacier lake before it's relatively safe. About 3 or 4 years ago an unfortunate Jeep broke through the ice, so there are some dangers if you aren't careful or familiar with the area.

This is amazing! I'd love to see that area sometime. We are able to get out on the lakes here in Minnesota as well. It's a really unsettling feeling at first. I used to take my daughters out on Lake Mille Lacs ice fishing in the winter and we'd rent an ice house a couple of miles out on the lake for the weekend. We called it our winter camping trip. It was awesome.

BTW, it was very charitable of you to let the Toyota tag along, but you didn't have to put them in the picture of all those nice Jeeps!

Thanks for sharing.

Funny you mention that too. We all did give him some friendly sh*t, good for a laugh. There were also a couple new bronco's at the trailhead, but they decided to go off in their own little group. we heard them on the radio getting lost and stuff. we had to switch channels ;)

I did have some reservations about going on the ice. not my first time, the hill climb out was the sketchy part. Lot of ice underneath an inch or two of snow. The week before, temps climbed into the low 40's. we had a cheering section as each jeep attempted the climb out.

Here is the climb out. this poor 4xe Wrangler had some kind of battery malfunction and wouldn't start after hanging out for an hour or two.

This past weekend we took our annual trip up to Big Bear, CA and for the first time in years did not take the Gladiator. So here's our winter glam shot of our MDX instead of our JT ;)

In December I traded in my built 2020 Max tow for this stingray Rubicon. I just installed a 3” lift and 35’s. This was my shakedown run. I’ll be upgrading to 37’s again very soon. Stock exhaust for now, I just have an Airaid intake

Made a detour through Julian to give the truck it's first snow day.
Used to ride motorcycles to Julian back in the 80's. Good memories. Great pics.

Actually a bit farther south now in Centralia, I'll be headed out to some of the NF roads near packwood this weekend. I'll keep an eye out for your rig when in the area!
