By that i mean, the arb compressor main ground is connected to this black wire 3 prong wire, no?

So what im guessing is that purple wire is just a remote turn on wire. Once this wire sees 12v it turns the compressor on but if theres another switch inside the compressor then i would actually need to ground the black wire. Ill just install it and figure it out lol.

But im using the aux switch? Its already grounded? Im not using the arb switch.
Yes, but that voltage you are sending has to have a return path back to the source. The small black wire MAY connect to the main black and black/white. You can check it with a meter. If it does then you don't need to connect it.

So i installed everything and i was right. If you are using the factory aux or a spod all you need is to connect the purple wire to the switch. That all, besides the main power and ground. Basically the purple wire only need to see 12v to turn on the compressor, you do not need to connect any thing else on the same harness.
