I tried to trade my AT tires in, before my Mojave has even shown up.... Discount Tire offered $35 each for the tires.... sort of ticked me off so I'm still debating what I will do when my Mojave arrives.....

If you're just selling the tires, your best bet is craigslist. Someone will buy them, they are the size most people want that are upgrading from a Sport/Sahara tire. Don't think you'll get much, maybe a couple hundred.
I just got a Rubicon. would like to go bigger but can't see spending the money now. My daughter has a 20 JLU with about 20,000 miles on her tires. Figure when she needs a new set, I'll put mine on hers and get myself some 35's.

They are GREAT tires, and a great upgrade for older/smaller Jeeps. I bought a set of five JK Rubicon wheels on CL and slapped them on my old YJ. Looks a little too Hot Wheels for me with that offset, but the tires themselves are excellent.

I would think you could get at least $500 for the set, but if you know a local 4x4 shop they may hold them on consignment for you. The stock tires for the Sports and such not so much, the shop I buy all my tires etc from told me THOSE don't ever sell.

I have a new Mojave with the stock 33's.
I'm always reading where folks change out the tires right after they buy their Gladdy. I would like to do that but I hate to just waste new tires that have less than a thousand miles on them. I've already got a bumper and a bunch of stock lights that are all new.

Are y'all getting any trade-in value for the stock tires that you take off or are you just sticking them back in the garage or storage shed and absorbing the loss??
Guess I could check with a tire place for this answer but wanted to ask those with more experience in this field first.

Before I took delivery my dealer gave me $320 for my Sport S tires but did not want the wheels. I had them order a set of Mopar Slotted Wheels and BFGs ahead of time, the Sport S wheels are in boxes in my loft

Yea I just can’t bring myself to waste that kinda money replacing new tires. I’m 6,400 miles in and by the end of the summer I’ll be about 15k miles in. Maybe then? But still, idk.

Maybe after I install the teraflex level kit, I’ll be more enticed to bite the bullet and get new tires. I’ve just been praying that I drive over nails in the meantime so the purchase is justified ?

I bought 35" tires for my stock wheels within the first 500 miles for my new Mojave.

I sold my stock 33" Falken MT's (4) for $700 within an hour of posting them on FB Marketplace.

No kidding. After 3 months, I ended up getting $200 for mine. Some guy wanted them for a lifted Cherokee.
Looking at the Jeep market limits you go to a flea market to a tire guy and tell them what you have they buy them and make some cash on top of that.

Discount Tire doesn't deal in used tires, so they were probably just trying to do you a favor with an extra $35 discount.

Quick sidebar, Any chance you can post a pic of your slotted wheels? I’m thinking about getting some too but will have to commit and import them.

I almost always keep mine in the shed or garage. I clean them really well and forget about them until it comes time to sell the vehicle. Same thing with stock suspension. I have a tear down weekend and bring it back to stock for premium resale (or trade-in) values. I then sell the aftermarket stuff privately.

Exactly what I do, All my stock Rubicon parts are in bins and the wheels are in bags.
Like you if I ever decide to sell or trade in the truck back to stock it goes.

Same here...three months, and I managed to get $250 for all four plus the spare....small used car dealer bought them to toss "new tires and wheels" on a used/abused JK he was trying to sell. I was about to just stack them behind the shed and forget about them...but the cash was put to better use.

The place I am purchasing my tires and wheels from (JK Land in Atlanta) is offering me $800.00 credit when I make the deal. No hassle of selling to a private party, worth the $200.00 loss to me...
