My son has a 2019 Rebel and I have a JT Rubicon. That Rebel is a damn nice truck. He paid $15,000 less than what I paid ($53,000 vs $38,000). His stickered at $49,xxx and mine at $58,495. If I needed the space and towing capacity of a full size truck I'd have gone with the Rebel. But since I didn't, I opted for the more smiles per gallon vehicle.

That is not a "hit", you purchased a new vehicle for $2,000.

I sold my 2018 JLUR privately and ordered a 2020 JT Rubicon, so my new 2020 JT is going to cost me about $3,000.
