I replaced my Mopar rollup tonneau cover with a Diamondback switchback cover for security. It looks good and was easy to install. The rear locking handles could be better with the factory trail rail system but I am looking to add a cleat or bracket to make it better.

I have a Diamondback cover on my 2021 Mojave, and it is definitely the best tonneau I have ever had! I am certain you will be happy with it...

I had one on the Tacoma I had before the Gladiator and loved it.
I adjusted the rear latch rods to engage the bottom of the cargo track rack when fully closed. I could engage the rods inside the track and that would allow the rear panel to be open by an inch or so. Still secure, but would allow some ventilation. Sorry I don’t have any pics of it.

We just installed ours as well, by far the best cover we have had. Easy install took me about an hour by myself to install, hardest part was lining it up, and after a 125 mile road trip had to tighten everything down and re-adjust, perfect fit, water tight and built like a tank

Unfortunately the switchback uses a different system than the locking rods. It has locking handles that lock a tab into the rail track but the locking handle is bulky and pushes away from the rail when pulling down to lock it making it hard to keep the tab in the track. It also limits the tension you can have on the tail section.

Yes it is built very well and looks good on the Gladiator. They have a new version coming out in a couple of weeks that is sleeker and attaches without tools. I like the blocky look on the Jeep since nothing is streamlined on it to begin with.

I ordered four more as well. They recommend on the sides near the front on the cab panel or on the sides near the rear on the tail panel or on the rear of the tail panel towards the outside. They have + sign laser etchings in those spots of where to drill.

They are on the inside and they recommend you drill from the inside out. I had to look for a few minutes before I saw them and realized they were the factory etchings.

This pic is the side rear corner of the tail section.

I have the DiamondBack SE on my Gladiator, only 2 complaints are that it's not the HD version, got a good deal on a lightly used one. Second is it limits the height of stuff you can put back there.
Last summer I borrowed my son's 12v cooler and it was too tall to fit under the tonneau. It's a big 75qt model, so it was a really pain to put in the back seat also.
Been kinda looking to get one and it limits which ones will work. Oh well, not a big deal, just need to be aware.

I had the DiamondBack ATV version on a 2015 Ram 2500 and love it also. The old one was nice, but the newer versions are even better.

Once I got mine all aligned and squared away, I put reference marks on the underside of the center section and the bed rails. Now it's just a matter of lining those marks up and it's center and ready to go. Makes it supper easy if you need to take it off to haul something bigger.

Here's a picture of the Ram on a spring break trip.

I like it. Looks great with the green. I am leaning toward the HD myself. Looks great.

I see that some of the covers come with a bulkhead install kit that includes a metal plate. When you did your install did you need to use this other than the weather seal?
