well, the job is complete, and the front locker works great using the Rubicon switch, for anyone that's going to do it the biggest thing I learned was I needed a differential housing spreader to get the carrier out and the FAD was a new thing for me, there is a great U tube video from Dana that explains the new axles and FAD very well. Thanks for all the tech and spelling help! Time to have some fun!

Just curious - I'm getting ready to install one in our Max Tow and have a few questions before I do mine:

1. did you do the install with the axle in the Jeep or did you pull the axle and do it on the bench? Mostly asking due to having to drill the hole in the housing for the wiring to exit....or did you run the wire thru the diff cover?
2. When you pull the FAD assembly and the PS outer axle shaft, does that allow enough room for the inner axle shaft to slide over and allow the differential to be removed?

Any other tips? I've got FAD gasket/bolts and a front diff cover gasket on order. Any other parts for the axle needed that do not come with the locker?

Thanks!
