My wife and went for a Saturday drive, about 6 or 7 hours worth. First time I've taken my Freedom out for an extended run since I took ownership last November/December.
Every time we stopped at a light, the Auto Stop would shut the engine down. I'd say, "I HATE this crap !!" and hit the bypass button. Only to do it again when I restart the vehicle with me bitching about it.
After a bit, she calmly says, "Let me get this straight. You hit a button on your remote to start the Jeep. You hit a button on the remote to unlock the Jeep. You get inside and hit a button on the dash to be able to drive the Jeep. You hit several buttons to get to your favorite radio station. But hitting just ONE MORE button to disable the Auto Stop is "too much" ?!?! THAT'S the straw that broke the camels back ??. You do know that makes no sense, right ?? Do all the button pushing to get going, and when you put it in gear, hit the Auto Stop kill button. Where's the issue ??".
I said "If you're going to come at me with irrefutable logic, well, there's no talking to you.".
