It’s really something to always see m@g@ conservatives pretend to care about the environment when it comes to EV fires (even though they catch fire significantly less than ICE vehicles) and battery production. All the while still denying climate change—even when Exxon Mobil themselves admitted that climate change existed back in the 70s.

So, some of y’all magically care about the environment when it suits your argument to dog on EVs with claims not grounded in reality, but when the environment is actually being irreversibly damaged by climate change caused by fossil fuels then it’s all of a sudden “made up by scientists and politicians.”

In future posts, I better see all of the posters here that claimed to care about forest fires from car fires also say they support regulation to prevent more damage to the environment caused by climate change
It's really something to see members here who are so concerned about the environment, presumably (since posting on this forum) buy a 50k vehicle that will get 15-17 mpg once you add all your aftermarket doodads and 21 mpg at best with the pentastar.

When I had an in office job, I used public transportation and my bike to commute to work. My Jeep is used to get me places currently an EV can’t get to when I go backcountry camping on public land.

Now I work from home, drive my Jeep maybe 1,000 miles every 6 months, and take our much more fuel efficient vehicle to get groceries.

The moment a solid front axle, fully electric Jeep is available I’ll trade in my Gladiator on the spot. Or if a kit similar to what is shown in the video is ever made more publicly available, I’d ditch the Pentastar in a heartbeat

Sounds like a Rivian would fit the bill or even a suburu outback at roughly 26-30 mpg.

If the Rivian had two solid axles, instead of the poorly made CVs, steering knuckles, and control arms that fall apart hitting potholes, then I would have one. Also, if they didn’t cost twice what I paid for the Gladiator lol

I didn't know the rivian had weak drive train components but I figured it would be good enough for what you did.

The cool thing about electric to me is the possibility to have 4 motors at each wheel possibly eliminating alot of components and allowing for alot of wheel articulation. I think the Bollinger B1 had 2 motors but it used portal axles as well. That was a really cool EV.

Here in Idaho, we are about as far from the "left coast" as you are currently lol

Sun Valley (money), Moscow (U of I), and Driggs/Victor (money) are the only blue parts of Idaho when you look at the election maps.

For now, Boise is set to be the next portland oregon. The mayor is from Portland already lol.

I've been hearing that for the last 30 years, wake me up when it happens ?

Lol I have family in Meridian and Nampa. I was just over there a week ago. Boise will be next, any place with a university.
