Its just you have to pump a lot more of the fuel. I also have a mkVII tuner car and to break 400ish hp at the wheels OR run E you gotta go to a larger flow rate.I’d bet the fuel pump is what can’t handle the E85. Something about the lubricity or lack thereof makes the fuel pump fail.
This is a guess and based solely on experience with E85 on wrx’s.
