“Set it to the volume of water”As with the wiper controls...
narrow end of the ramp=LONG time delay
BUT some think
narrow end should indicate SHORT time delay
either way I just go by the feedback they show me.

If you’ve ever watched Bill “Grumpy “ JenkinsYes I know, that's how this post was born. I use it all the time but it's backwards to me and I kept downshifing from 3 to 2 instead of upshift to 4 by pushing forward (up to upshift)
Pushing forward should be upshift IMO
The stick shift comparison doesn't really make sense because when shifting through each gear you push and pull no matter if you're shifting up or downThink of a manual transmission... 1st is top left, pull back to upshift to 2nd. 3rd is diagonally up, then pull to upshift into 4th.
You can also thing of it as pushing forward thus pushing yourself back to slow down, pull back to pull yourself forward (faster).
?? What is this 4th your talking about?Think of a manual transmission... 1st is top left, pull back to upshift to 2nd. 3rd is diagonally up, then pull to upshift into 4th.

Slow, medium, running speed.

But the Money Shift is always towards you, that’s why Mercedes designed the Dog Leg transmission, to put that shift between 2 and 3 for tighter circuitsThe stick shift comparison doesn't really make sense because when shifting through each gear you push and pull no matter if you're shifting up or down
You could if you wanted too.Thats understandable but I'm in a jeep gladiator... Ain't doing no tight circuits in the brick
I really hope you meant Nürburgring...You got it... Lap record at nuremberg
It's still that muscle memory. I've driven more miles on and off road in a standard transmission than I have in an auto - I was really happy to see pulling back was the upshift with this transmission, it just felt more natural to me.Thats understandable but I'm in a jeep gladiator... Ain't doing no tight circuits in the brick

Comes from when auto's were 2 speed like a powerglide PRDL column shift indicator was said as "prindle" I've heard it quite a few times from old timersReminds me of when I turned wrenches for a living, had a guy tell me there was something wrong with his prindle thing. Took me a a little bit to realize he had a problem with the shifter on his Powerglide.
