I took my Gladiator in for squeaks and the dealership replaced the rear sway bar links. Your Gladiator shouldn't creak or rattle.
Mine is coming from the top passenger area somewhere. Every time I hit a bump I hear a good sounding rattle. Tightened every screw and can’t seem to figure it out! Doesn’t happen with the top off obviously.

Take it to the dealership. Could be a loose freedom panel connection.

By the way, what does your brother drive now.

I traded this for my Gladiator. I think it really depends on the individual. If you want something that has a good ride and you are on pavement all the time the RAM is probably the perfect vehicle. To me it was so perfect, there was nothing left for me to do, to personalize it, in my opinion. I could of lifted it put wheels and tires on it, but it had air ride and forged aluminum wheels, what is better than that. The hemi always sounded great and was never short on power, and on long road trips it went and hid and the cabin was library quiet. Maybe the most queitest vehicle I have ever owned. The alpine stereo was absolutely perfect needed nothing. It was clear and could get loud. The truck did awesome in the snow. I would never thinknof taking it down a trail it was too pretty. It was just too damn perfect. I got the Gladiator and been having a blast, but if you don't like or have time to personalize a vehicle the RAM is solid

I downsized from a f250 lariat and a jku Sahara, we’re a family of 4 with 2 wiener dogs. I loved everything about the f250 we were comfortable on a cross country trip. We loved our jku but I couldn’t really fit in it with a car seat behind me. We test drove a gladiator a couple times and loved it and fit comfortably granted we haven’t gone cross country trips but so far so good.

My brother drives an older small sedan so I think either vehicle will be an upgrade in space! With the second kid now he just wants a bit more room.

He lives in Connecticut where the off-road opportunities aren’t very readily available if that factors in!

My brother put a deposit down on a 2021 Ram 1500 crew cab big horn! He’s been back and forth between the Ram and Gladiator for about 6 months now! Anyone have any experience with both and can provide some insight? He’s got 2 kids and is worried about the space and the ride in general of the Gladiator which is why he finally left a deposit. He called me today and isn’t sure he made the right move! It’s still refundable! He loves the Gladiator, but thinks the Ram is the “safer” pick even though it’s like every other truck and not a head turner. He said my Gladiator creaks and rattles a bit and is obviously smaller. He loves the whole idea of having a Gladiator though. What do you all think?
If it’s going to be his main family ride, get the ram. I had one before the gladiator. If we didn’t have another family car, I wouldn’t have traded the Ram for the gladiator.

My JTR seems as tight a vehicle as any new I have bought. And the JTR I bought used. Purchased brand new through years 2000 Intrepid, 2001 Dakota, 2012 Camero, 2015 Charger. As non squeaking as any of them. Adequately quiet with hard top and MOPAR headliners.

I had a 2019 Rebel Quad Cab before my Gladiator

The Ram is more practical in every way but the Jeep is vastly more fun, cool, and every other intangible.

Does he want a "lifestyle" vehicle or does he want the truck equivalent of a Camry? Its up to him

If I were your brother I would pick up the ram over the gladiator. You get more for your money with the ram. Bigger truck, more power, more towing. Ram ride and sound quality way better. I went with the gladiator because I thought it was cooler. If your not going to take off road much I would highly suggest ram. Starting to see a lot of issues with my gladiator

I traded my 2018 Ram sport for my 2020 JTO. I had multiple Ram trucks before along with a 2014 JKU. I loved the JKU but it could not do what I need my Ram trucks to do.

Here's why I went with the Gladiator. Residual value. plain and simple. After owning my Ram trucks for 2 years they were worth less than half of the sticker price. Jeep Wranglers (and It appears the Gladiators) hold their value much better than the Rams.

Here's what I miss about my Ram. The hemi and the RamBox. Thats it. I suppose the rain sensing wipers and automatic high beam were handy but not deal breakers. I've survived fine without them for nearly a year since I bought my Gladiator.

Taking the top and doors off is certainly an experience that can't be matched in a Ram. However, I wouldn't suggest taking the rear doors off when there's small kids in the back.

If towing is important, get the Ram. If not, the Gladiator is an excellent choice.

I have a 1, 3, and 10 year old. I specifically bought narrow car seats, but they all fit in the back fairly well. My wife got a JL after we had the JT for a few months, and she considered a 4runner instead. The biggest question for us, and what ultimately made up her mind to get a jeep, was any other vehicle worth giving up the freedom to remove the doors/top? What's more important to whoever is buying/driving? I have a convertible truck with the JT, that's what I wanted, so no other truck compares with that.

I had a Ram 1500 (Outdoorsman) before the Jeep. I did not get the Big Horn at the time because it has dual exhaust hanging below the rear bumper that would have been trashed my first time off-roading. That model did offer the 4H Auto mode that I wished I had at times. If your brother goes for the Jeep, I would suggest the Full Time transfer case option if he ever expects snowy or icy pavement (not available on the diesel or manual trans.)

I liked the Ram more for its V8 power and when driving on the Interstate, but that's about it. I absolutely hated my Ram in crowded parking lots and on rocky trails.

The Jeep is more maneuvarable, more nimble, corners better, doesn't float up and down on bumps and is better in every way off road. With the new steering box it is just fine on the Interstate, but I prefer it on winding back roads. It's just plain more fun.
