The boxiness definitely has hints of that Hummer H2 douche bag quality to it. Everyone I've asked agrees on that point. Jeep Wranglers look cool. The Gladiator... can definitely look like someone's compensating for something. It can also look really freaking awesome. It depends on the build and the user. I love the looks, but if I wasn't planning to haul large amounts of wood and to use it off road with the family, going places where a normal car or SUV can't go, then I'd question why I needed something that looked like that. Every other mid-size truck on the road looks so damned generic, though. Do a Ford, a Dodge, and a Toyota REALLY look that different from a distance? I love that the Gladiator stands out and doesn't look/feel exactly like everyone else

Car fashion is the same as any other fashion....completely subjective...the larger tires and small lift do make a hugeeee difference but it has to be tasteful..when done right it looks more badass than any truck imo

The only thing Jeep screwed up is the tail lights and fenders. If you put the body colored fenders on and if they had made the tail lights look like they actually went with the truck, all is well.
My wife HATES the fact that the tail lights stick out so far

My wife doesn't care for the look of the truck, but she said the same thing about the JKU when it first came out. I was a 2 door Wrangler guy, but needed a more family friendly ride, hence the JKU. Now this truck fits the need to tow a small trailer while overlanding, and still be a Jeep.

It's amazing how many people forget (myself included) that Jeep trucks have been around since the 1940's.

Everyone knows I want one. Everyone, other than my wife, thinks it's the ugliest thing ever. I think it's the most truck looking truck since the 70's/80's. Hate what all the manufacturers have done to their trucks.

Everyone is used to all cars, SUVs, pickup trucks and minivans looking rounded and egg shaped due to fuel economy. When we were looking at SUV/minivans I realized that there is very little difference between the look of an SUV and a minivan these days but the SUV doesn't have the practicality that a minivan does. Now pickup trucks look like SUVs that look like minivans that look like camrys on steroids. Camrys and other cars are going the other direction now with ugly ass angles all over the place for the sake of angles are cool I guess. Good luck keeping all that crap clean.

It is VERY cool. I am trading my Ridgeline because even though it is a great truck, it’s boring.
The Jeep Gladiator is far from boring...
Wanna talk FUGLY trucks.... the ridgeline for sure... shouldn’t even be called a truck

It is not ugly in my opinion. It is a great, solid vehicle, and will be for many years. It is just boring...
I liked it, I bought it.

You don’t like it- you don’t have to buy it.

We were stopped four times this weekend by folks wanting to talk about how cool it looks. Too bad Toyota lovers are so envious. Seems that they like to troll this board so much too.

It looks pretty cool in most angles. The taillights are a bit weird. Someone at work said that she would get a truck and a 4dr jeep instead. I think I might change her mind after she sees mine on 35s. But whatever.

I mean I am coming from a Gen2 Ridgeline so..what do I know about looks

My wife thinks it's ugly but she thinks all crew cab trucks are ugly. She's old school; just likes the single cabs and the occasional extended cab.

I’ve had 4 friends now (none of which are car guys) tell me that my gladiator is hideous. One of them said “god, I can’t even look at it, the proportions are all wrong”. Another said, “it just looks like a wide brimmed top hat” (which after making this picture, I agree with haha)

Do any of you that own it, think it’s ugly or is everyone in love with it? I can honestly say, I think it looks really cool, but there are one or two bad angles when looking at it....

You just need new friends!

My only complaint is the wheelbase. It looks disproportionate. BUT, if you get some 35s or even the 2" lift, it suddenly looks right at home. It's a monster of a truck - especially for a midsize.

I'm a Toyota lover and I'm patiently waiting for the diesel and Gator.
