That GM gate, to me, is a nightmare. Way too many parts, and can't use it with a trailer connected. I do kinda like the barn door gate.

Leave the JT gate alone, I say. How 'bout we simplify?

People already whimpering and puffy eyed because a Gladiator costs too much, I don't think adding a $3k tailgate is going to help with that.

A step? You've got two back tires already equipped with a non skid surface for that. People goind to want a golf club caddy, and make up mirror under the hood next.

It’s the dismount from the bed that I loved the F150 step for. Two bulging discs no likey turn and pivot or jumping down. I love the idea of the ram box too but without stakeholes that wipes out any bed rack ideas. I also had these on my F150. Decent compromise vs a ram box IMO

Actually I think that looks dumb and I can't believe they basically hang their entire sales on that commercial.

Wish they had something, that is one of the highest tailgate heights I've dealt with. I turn 60 tomorrow, I'm a left leg below knee amputee with a metal knee. I have to sit on the tailgate and stand up in the bed or get a step ladder to get into the bed, it is a good thing I can reach everything in the bed with the low bed depth.

I like the idea of a dual action opening like the Honda Ridgeline. Swings down or out. Then would be easier to use a swing out tire carrier.

i would rather Jeep persue some sort of storage in the bed sides like the ‘Ram box’ deal. (If they Have to add more gadgets)

would be nice to have a system like the decked system but split in the center with pull grips on each side where they flip up to become kinda like a side rack for when you want the depth of the bed and something that could mount on top to make a full rack for kayaks ect. It would be litteraly like a three way functional master bed design.

I really like this idea. I considered getting a drawer system when I had a Sierra a few years ago but didn't want to give up the bed depth without spending a while removing drawers and storing them. Something that flips up would be cool, but I'm guessing a lot of the storage capacity would be lost to the flip up mechanism.

So much of that concept was pretty slick. That rack with panels to make it a full topper, or maybe soft-top like windows. Hmmmm

But I had the tailgate step on my my F-150 and found it extremely useful

my issue with my F250’s step was that the handle was on the wrong side. I’m severely right handed.
