In this area, yes. I go between East Sound & the Ocean often, and my 24 JL is in worse shape. My 25 JT hasn’t been to the beach yet, but I’m not expecting any different result.

When we used to do our own rotations… We’d put anti-seize on the studs AND a thin layer around on the flats of the wheel (and anywhere else that would benefit from it).

I have no idea what ours looks like….. the local garage does the rotations.

It would be tough for mine to look like that when you get less than 4" of rain a year.

Just use some brake cleaner and a copper brush during rotations and you should be fine. Any kind of grease or whatnot you add to “seal” it is just going to collect dirt and brake dust crap and be more of a mess. Way easier to brush off some surface rust than caked sludge.

That’s nothing to worry about. I live in the south and mine look like that. I have zero rust anywhere else. I just wire brushed it off and hit it with WD-40 wiped it off and it’s gone for now. I’ll do it again next time it happens. I’m not worried about it because it’s not hurting anything and it takes like a minute per corner

Discount tire uses a rotating brush on the end of a drill.

That is not heavy scaling rust. Small spray of some fluid film and spread around with an acid brush will mitigate that ever becoming a thing plus your wheels will never stick to the hub.
