Issue with 3rd Brake Light

Did anyone ever gotten any info from that? Having the same issue with mine. Was using the Tazer to flash the CHMSL, not sure if that had any effect on it going bad. Truck only have 14k miles and has been babied.

Just trying to see if that's what could have caused it to prematurely go bad and if I shouldn't use that option after swapping it out.

my 2022 third brake quit .. 28,000 mi .. dealer covered it under 3yr/36,000mi ............ real cost was $136 + 1.5 hr labor+ PIA they had it in stock

They live, die and respawn as they desire. I've havey JTM since new and no issues thus far at 27k

1.5 hours in labor is fuckin comical at best. It's really a .25 for competent tech

only have 14k on mine but since it's a 2021 it's no longer under warranty. I have a Mopar extended warranty but with a $200 deductible, it doesn't make sense for me to go thru the dealership to get it replaced.
I'm Just making sure that it's not something I could have prevented.

I don't think so. I have the Tazer mini and with 97 plus thousand miles on my Jeep, I'm still on the original brake light.

Went to the dealer and my 3rd brake light is out. Dealer quoted $365.50 parts and labor. Told them I'd do it myself. Their reply we can pull the part and have it in the truck for you when you pick it up for $150...No thanks!

Ya swapped it out myself, $82 plus $20 shipping ... Not sure how these guys still get by not doing free ship but oh well.

Won't be a fuse for that one alone.

Where the cables connect at the bottom of the bed where the wires exit the bed and go into the tailgate there's a connector. You have to pull it loose from the bed and pull it apart - the camera on my 2022 quit and pulling that big connector apart and reseating it again made things work fine
