I have had a somewhat interesting issue develop, and was hoping to get feedback and input here. I've been to two different Jeep dealerships, with each unsuccessfully diagnosis/fixing my issue. At first, I was experiency a popping issue when turning the vehicle. The first dealership replaced the part 55057447AD, and the popping went away. After a few months, when turning my steering, it would sound as if a marble was/is rolling behind the horn on the steering wheel. The clockspring locking mechanism does not work either. After taking it back to the first dealership, they told me they never did the repair (lol) and that they couldn't replicate the issue. After taking it to them twice, they told me they would order the part (they never did).
Fast forward to last october, and I decide to finally take it back in and see if they would order the part/fix a popping noise in my suspension. Failed to fix either, then lied (again) that they couldn't find the issue. They also couldn't find anything in their records funny enough. So, after dealing with two more dealerships, I finally get an appointment scheduled for one. They fix it, however, basically a day later the marble noise has returned.
So, I am wondering if anyone ran into this steering issue? What was the fix?
