Been having some issues with an older brake controller on my 22 Gladiator. I had the controller installed on 2 other trucks with no issue but it doesn't detect a signal when I depress the brakes on the Gladiator. Manual control works fine though.
I disconnected the brake controller and tested all the wires based off what I found on internet.
Colors are controllers harness, not Jeep.
White - Ground, tested good
Black - 12v, tested good
Blue - Works when manually apply brake controller
Red - no voltage when I hit the brakes
From what I have read, I should be seeing 12v when the brake is pressed on the red lead.
I checked all the fuses associated with trailer all were good.
Can anyone verify that the Gladiator does send 12v to signal wire? Any idea on what else I can check?
Also noticed my 3rd brake light is out too, this wouldn't be tied to that somehow would it?
Just trying to go through simple stuff before taking Jeep in to dealership.
Thank you!
