Yeah, that’s what I was figuring. Looks like someone hit the adjustment with penetrating oil…maybe when an alignment was performed

I would contact the person that poured your driveway and asked them to fix that crack, that is not normal.

It looks like thread lubricant or penetrating oil …or worse, perhaps the tie rod seal is leaking.

Maybe a blinker fluid leak dripping there…

100% normal. I spray mine with a lanolin or cosmoline protectant annually. I sprayed it directly into the split in the bar too. The lanolin seems to travel and wick better over time.
