Yeah it’s every bit of 80.5 inches tall, back to the drawing board we go!

Wow. 80.7 tall. So An inch too tall for a standard garage. But only 10.5 ground clearance?!?! What were they thinking?

A mojave with 37s and a 2 aev lift is 79 inches tall with 16 inch of ground clearance. Did they add a second floor as standard on an ineos ?

Sorry I see it can be ordered now. 14 mpg. Makes me feel good about the Mojave.
I do like some of the config options but 93k needs to be about 70k to make sense to me given a mojave x can be had for low 50s
If you get the chance to look underneath one you'll see where the extra money goes. They are basically sitting on a 1 ton chassis. Makes all the gladiator linkages and axles look like toothpicks lol.

The Grenadier was based off the Defender 100 series, so with the 110 being about 80.5" tall and having about 10" of ground clearance the dimensions of the Grenadier make sense. It wasn't built to be a segment leader, it wasn't even built to compete with anything really. It was built as a passion project.

The backstory on the Grenadier being a labor of love really explains why it is exactly the way it is. Ironically it is another tired and true telling of the same old story. Enthusiasts want the old and trusted and in this case they are given an almost exact copy, yet they still find faults.

Every now and again I read on here how someone "just wishes they'd bring back the old 4.0". They really don't though.

I cant put into word how the frame looks, it has to be seen in person. But yes, this 100%.

And you can order it in red just to see what you’re getting.

I had one ordered but bailed on it based mostly on the dealer distance issue. Still tempted but wife still likes her GLE.

The old 4.0 was great in it's day. It's thirsty and low on tq by today's standard

I never got the defender so I might be the wrong guy. I am not wistful for what was. Everything in a modern jeep out performs the old cj. Do I have fond memories sure. But I wouldn't want a cj again.
I have been in a classic defender. Not.impressed.

I hope the ineos finds success because any bof 4 wheeler deserves a place. Just not in my driveway

My brother had a Defender. He describes it as a really cool piece of junk. It was poorly built and marginal at anything other than getting looks. He did manage to make a serious profit when he sold it though so maybe that makes up for it.

I have owned triumph and mg in the past. The British concept of assembly was paste and rope.

My old boss has a grenadier and loves it. I’ve driven in it and it is a nice step up luxury rugged feeling compared to the Jeep Wrangler. I’d buy one if I was in the market
