I’ve done a poor job of describing the timeline. I’ll put it correct below:

November 2023 - Vehicle purchased
December 2023 - Vehicle delivered
January 2025 - This specific leak found and dealership appointment made

That is the timeline. That’s why I say “in service 13 months” since I got the truck delivered in December and I caught this leak the following January.

Regarding culpability… None. I did not install the window. The window is not damaged. I have never removed the hard top. I have never been in an accident. This leak is smaller (but definitely exists), and I do not sit in the back of the truck when I drive it, so while I believe it has present for much longer I didn’t catch it until January.

Hopefully that clarifies.
If your Jeep sat that long with the leak, you're going to have bigger problems inside and under the carpet.

I'm with you, man, I have had a few big issues that should have 100 percent been covered under warranty, but Jeep Cares gave me the complete run around, doing everything they could not to help. They ignored me for weeks at a time while I would call to get updates until eventually I just gave up completely. I love Jeeps, still have my 2000 TJ, and I love my Gladiator, but the customer service and sliminess of their warranty coverage has put me off from ever getting another after this one unless something changes.

It’s a huge bummer, but seems to be becoming more prevalent. I’m certainly not a, “the customer is ALWAYS right” person. Customers do some really dumb things, but this is just super disappointing.

Do you have more information on your fix? That sounds like a really smart approach.

Also, I appreciate your feedback on my final comment, but I won’t apologize for it. I see it very often from people in the community unfortunately. I think it needs to be said. 🤷‍♂️
I get the anger, and feel for you man... it's not right.

I don't like when people allow others to take advantage of anyone. That's a big problem everywhere. You're right, allowing it by dismissing the real problem is a terrible way to proceed, but it's what lots of humans do, they rationalize frustrating things to make themselves feel a little better about it. Is what it is unfortunately.
You know what they say...
You can catch more flies with honey than with vinegar. It's way easier to persuade or influence people by being gentle, polite, and kind, rather than by being harsh or aggressive. NOT saying you are, just a reminder to all...

Good luck man! I'm heading out to the Jeep to check under my back seats and carpet now lol...

Thanks dude. Polite persistence is usually the best policy. Jeep seems to be immune to all attempts to respond with logic on this. I think it’s because they know they have to admit they won’t cover a manufacturers defect on a ~1 year old vehicle and they know that’s a losing proposition from a customer service standpoint. Based on other’s responses, I think they’re aware it’s a design issue (if the problem persists after replacement it must be). Just disappointing to feel like I’m being left hanging over what should be a simple repair/replace.

Hopefully someone will get a class action going. I’ll take my $8 check I receive for signing up and sleep well knowing that Jeep paid waaaaay more money than they otherwise would have by just fixing the problem. I like the truck for the most part, but being a Jeep guy is far from my personal identity. I refuse to simply take my lemons. I’m more of a “fuck the lemons and bail” type of guy.

Yeah understandable. What's funny is I'm totally a Jeep guy, my wife and I have had 6 Jeeps over the years. BUT yeah, I'm nervous about the future. Both her Grand Cherokees have had some issues, I've been pretty lucky, but I feel like it's a dark cloud overhead, and I wonder how MUCH "Jeep Cares" lol... and we're all Jeep Wave VIP'd out too! lol... not sure how much weight that carries though.

Jeep cares is one of the more useless features of owning a Jeep. I had to deal with them couple years ago and it was one of worse experiences ever. It's because of Jeep Cares that my current Jeep will be my last one.

They shouldn't have to step in if the dealership is working to serve the customer.

In this particular case, it was Jeep Cares' fault more than the dealer's fault which is rare.

Funny thing is that the amount they scammed me out of has been less than the amount they have lost because I have been able to talk family members out of buying a Jeep.

I am currently in the market of getting another car and I would have totally purchased a Jeep Wrangler 4Xe but I am not even considering a Jeep as an option.

And people wonder why Jeep is doing so bad in sales compared to other manufacturers!!

Yeah, this is not a dealer issue. This is all Jeep, but the “Cares” people are trying in PM to throw it back on the dealer.

The dealer has actually been great, and I’m surprised to say that…. But I will give credit where it’s due.

I’m not going to sell the jeep in the near future. Actually prefer to keep it so people can ask me how I like it and I can tell them never to buy one. 🤷‍♂️

I have a couple leaks on the passenger side that show up when I take the Gladiator through the brushless car wash. I have Armorlite floor so I don't care to investigate it. Plus it rarely rains here in the desert.
How are you liking the Armorlite floor?
