So technically, the way it works as I understand is: They rate the frame, axles, and brakes for its max capacity, meaning 7650 for the jeep with the wide axles. Then, once they start adding bits, i.e. soft suspension, lift, heavier skid plates, steel bumpers, etc, they reduce the rating to compensate.

SO by definition, any Rubicon/Mojave is a "Max Tow" in that it has the frame, axles, and brakes for that designation, but, the added bits to make it a Rubicon/Mojave reduce the weight rating. Also mentioned is the cooling fan, a small piece that does not effect your actual tow capacity, but will effect your ability to tow any capacity with real meaning for an extended period of time.
This guy is completely correct . Look at the diesels they tow less why cause the weigh more already. The Rubicon Auto tows more than Rubicon standard why? Cause clutch is a weak point. It is all factored in ever package . Mine say 7000 , and 700 tongue weight No way in Heck I would ever want to tow like that at its max. Wind shear alone will tear you UP. Just pull less or get a diesel.

I have a big question:
Why if the Jeep Gladiator Mojave that I'm buying has included already all equipment for the MAX TOW PACKAGE, it only can tow 6000 pounds as by the VIN said.??????
Because it is a Mojave not a max tow. Max tow is only available in the sport or sport s.

If I was going to tow alot I'd would have bought a ram, f150, silverado or tundra. I couldn't even think of towing 6k with a gladiator

Amen to that. These threads crack me up. The only reason I was able to get my JT was keeping my boat at the marina, so I sold my F250. If I was still towing regularly then there’s no way in hell I would have this thing.

Mojave doesn't have the 850w fan or 240a Alternator unless it was optioned with the towing package for the fan and alt, or the aux switches for just the alt.

There is a myth that Mojave comes default with the HD cooling fan. It doesn't. It comes with the same 600w fan all the other Gladiators without the towing package get.
Out of curiosity, if they don't come with the tow package stuff, then why is the tow rating the same with or without the package on the Rubicon, Mojave, and diesel? I was under the impression that they all already have that stuff, otherwise they would be rated to tow less. That's the reasoning on the Sport and Overland, because adding those items along with the hitch gets you the higher rating. It would stand to reason if they didn't have those already, then they should have a lower rating too.

I don't know why they don't have separate ratings.

Without the tow package and aux switches, Rubicon and Mojave get the base 180a alternator, base 600w cooling fan, and base battery.

Tow Package:

Class IV receiver
850w fan
240a alt
Bigger and better battery

Aux Switches:

Aux switches ( duh )
240a alt
Bigger and better battery

Neither:

600w fan
180a alt
Turd battery

My 2022 Mojave came with the bigger fan, bigger alternator, power steering cooler and better battery but had no tow hitch receiver. The Mojave comes with the "Max Tow" cooling package as standard according to the dealership. Its what helps make it "Desert Rated".
The dealership is wrong. @ShadowsPapa will like this post.

Show us a pic of the fan and 'power steering cooler'. Also the alternator and center stack by the shifter....

But gee, what do you know - you own a Mojave - oh, wait................. LOL

The big tell here, besides pictures, would also be the build sheet. They don't lie like dealers do.

First of all, you don't have to be assholes about it.
Anyway... I've not checked for a Power steering cooler, just going by what I've read and what I was told. Bought my Mojave new three weeks before getting deployed because I got a great deal. I won't be home for a few more months. I haven't had a lot of time to inspect it before leaving. I do have the AUX switches, big alternator and big cooling fan, though. I checked that out at the dealership myself. I figured they all had power steering coolers.
The aux switches are the reason you have the big alternator and big battery they are part of that package. In what way did you verify the fan I'm just curious

No one was being an ass about it. Just that so many claims come through with nothing to substantiate other than "my dealer said so". We could all list things dealers have said that weren't even close to reality.
He was only countering and asking for your evidence. You'd never survive being on a HS or college debate team or posting in the wikipedia if you can't provide sources and collaborating information (right or wrong)
And like he said - if you got aux switches, you have a larger alternator and battery by virtue of the aux switches. Even my Overland got the bigger battery because of the aux switches and no other reason. One can look up the order guides posted in these forums and prove what comes with what package. It's straight from FCA. Aux switches get the alternator and battery option. It's assumed if you need the switches, you likely will be running more power-hungry stuff.

Seems to me that a Mojave owner recently put the larger cooling fan and alternator in their JT......which supports the point that no, they don't get those things out the door.

Build sheet will tell you everything you need to know. Dealers too often assume or make things up or repeat what they have heard. Build sheets are fact.

No one is being an ass about it - just trying to get facts out there.

As our high school algebra teachers used to say "show your work" LOL

Do you have the part number of the fan?

7 Pin trailer connector and "trailer sway control" on the window sticker it was essentially the max tow package.
ONLY Sport gets max tow. Anything else it's simply a tow package.
ALL GLADIATORS come with the wiring and trailer connectors in the bumper, tow package or not. It's part of the wiring harness for any JT.
Trailer sway control is part of the electronics in these - ABS, stability control and so on and makes no sense to not have that as part of the programming in all Gladiators.

If he told you you had the 850w cooling fan you should go demand they put it on there because I can all but guarantee you don't have it unless your sticker says Tow Package and somehow Jeep "forgot" to put on the Class IV receiver. Mojave gets nothing additional for engine cooling by default.

You can get a low mile used one here:

https://www.rubitrux.com/mopar-68272755-radiator-fan-cooling-module-shroud.html

It's all you need to add. Easy swap.

Awesome! I have a 20' camper I plan to tow. Its only about 4500# loaded, if I end up needing it I'll look in to it. But not before having a word with my dealer, first. Thanks for the info!
You can see the part # without removing anything, stick your phone down there and snap a pic of the center of the fan. You can tell by the blades as well.

Thanks, this could come in handy as I'm putting together a checklist to inspect when I go to pick up my Jeep. Wasn't sure how I'd spot the 850w fan, 240 amp alternator, or 700 amp battery unless they had stickers on them.
