Hello Everyone,

I am looking to upgrade the headlights/taillights from the stock halogens that come stock with the truck. I feel like LED lights all around completely change the look of the truck and in a practical sense provide much better visibility on/off road.

Has anyone that has a Gladiator Sport upgraded their lighting from the base halogen headlights/taillights? I have researched and found some websites here and there but wanted to post on the forum to see if anyone has had any real results. If so, pictures showing the upgrade would be much appreciated.

Thank you,

Sergio

It's been done plenty of times. I've done it on my Wrangler JL. I went with Oracle Oculus Bi-LED headlights and BRP Auto taillights. Sorry, no pics at the moment.

My Sport S had all Halogen lights when I got it. I upgraded to the Oracle Bi-LED headlights and pre-ordered their tail lights when they Launched. Now just waiting for someone to come out with a turn signal replacement for the Sports. That or to get some Rubicon Fenders to get the American Adventure Labs highline fender chop kit.

I have highbeamoffroad.net headlights, they are the Drifter series ones. Tons of light compared to stock. I also ordered the flush mount taillights from Oracle.

My Sport-S came with the rear light LED package, so I don't have to worry about that. I replaced the headlights with Lasfit LED's and it looks great, they function as they should and every time I take it out at night, I'm smiling because of how much brighter they are than the old halogens.

I just got in yesterday the Lasfit turn signal/running light kit and the Lasfit switchback LED fog lamps I ordered from Amazon. I'll be installing those this weekend, and that will finish me out on the Gladiator. Consider the switchbacks if you replace your fog lights, they allow you to push the button for LED, then push it again for amber LED, which is supposed to be superior when you're actually driving through fog.

I posted this in another thread, but here is a comparison of the LED's I bought versus the OEM factory halogens.....quite a difference.

Go simple and inexpensive. Just replace the bulbs. LEDs on all four corners on my JT.

I just got replacement bulbs. Heat may be an issue. The hid bulb has a fan and heat sink. Enclosed in the jeep might be a problem but time will tell

The heat sink on the CPU inside your computer is enclosed, and it isn't a problem. I seriously doubt that the bulbs will get too hot to cause a problem.

My computer has a vent and designed air flow. The headlight enclosure has zero air flow design.

The LED replacements won’t get as hot as the halogen lamps.
Don’t worry about it.

Yes, except for the fact that there's a bunch more room and a lot more airflow under that hood then there is inside a computer. It's really nothing you should worry a lot about. Sure, a heatsink could go out and the light might overheat, but that should be rare and LEDs burn much cooler than halogens or any other type of light anyway. ?
