I am keeping my manual 2020, it's not going anywhere.
It has been a reliable workhorse for 45000 + miles and gives me lots of pleasure when it's not doing that.

I will add another workhorse when the time comes.

Gladiator value is in the toilet plain and simple. 58,000 sticker to 41,000 trade in (in 1 year )? That’s what happens when they inflate the prices originally and start giving 12,000 off on new ones. I didn’t pay sticker but should of held out for a better price and didn’t finance so it could of been worse. I also bought local and did well on my Chrysler 300 trade in. I believe value will come back up a little when the new prices come out if they are not a lot lower too. Bronco on the other hand still bringing in decent prices here, go figure but not inflated over MRSP. Jeep flooded the market with gladiators , now they are playing catch up. I still like my Gladiator and will keep it indefinitely but Hopefully another year they don’t loose the same amount of value especially for the people that paid sticker price and financed also.
Yep seen Overland going for $30k or more used, but trade value is $21k-27k down from $31k month ago.

If I knew how many miles I've driven "professionally" it would be quite substantial too, not as OTR driver. I know that I had to change out patrol vehicles close to a dozen times for mileage.

If you are lazy and trade, thats what you'll get. If you sell it yourself, it's different story, and this goes for any vehicle. You will always get more when you sell it yourself. It's also contingent upon your market. Lets say you live in New York City, or just about any other large city, not near mountains or recreational areas, no one will be anxious to buy it, thus driving the value down, for that area. Or, it judging from all your threads on this site, you might be considered a chronic complainer, JMO tho. you live in a fantastic state with a lot to offer for jeep wheeling.
I might even goes as far to say, if its bone stock, (Looks like a 2 wheel drive truck) you won't attract the JT enthusiasts that are willing to pay a little more. I'm guessing your truck is bone stock, and you let the dealer take advantage of you on the trade in. Maybe if it wasn't stock and you wheeled just a bit, you would have liked it better and kept it. I've seen a very common theme of owners not being happy with their stock trucks or attempting to be content with a stock truck as a daily driver. Nothing with ruin your jeep experience faster than stock. I treat my JT like a SxS or 4 wheeler, taking it out only to play or haul my trailer. Gas mileage would kill me if I daily drove it 38 miles round trip to my work, and its nothing compared to a sporty car on the highway. No thanks. If a JT was appealing to you because it provoked thoughts of adventure, then adventure is probably what you are missing to promote your love affair with your JT. Sounds like you probably need a "Cowboy Cadillac", something a little flashier. I hope you find your ideal vehicle, everyone deserves to be happy, especially if they feel underwhelmed with their trade in value. Good luck!

There are PLENTY of people who would prefer a 2-door single/extended cab Gladiator over the 4-door full double-cab (myself being one) but you’re right, 4-door pickups are more popular. If Jeep/Stellantis is only willing to risk doing one version of it, it had to be the 4-door.

This is the same reason manual transmissions are disappearing from most vehicles. It’s not because there aren’t plenty of people who want them, it’s because it’s cheaper/more profitable for the manufacturer to simplify the manufacturing by only offer the most popular option.
The same "lots of people" who prefer 2dr wranglers... that make up a full 10% of sales. Sure they'd sell some, nobody is arguing that. Would they sell enough to make it worth developing, safety testing, tow ratings certification, and everything else that goes into releasing a new vehicle? I'm banking on no, as is stellantis obviously.

Trading isn’t lazy. You can get a tax break, you don’t have to worry about paying off the loan before or during the transaction as the dealer will do all the paperwork for that, and you don’t have to waste (possibly) months trying to sell it. Don’t go into a dealership expecting to get a private sale value, set your expectations where they should be.

Some people do actually like stock, hell, sometimes those old tj/yj’s are attractive because someone didn’t mod them. It all depends.

I think the main problem is social media - everyone wants to look cool in a Jeep, but then they start driving it daily to work, mall, what have you, and they hate it. Then, when they go to trade it in after 5 months, they are sad they aren’t getting more than what they paid for or put into it. Buying a Jeep, let alone a truck for the wrong reasons is what is going to make you unhappy.

you might be right, but the jeep groups I spend time with like to mod their vehicles, and they're, for the most part, happy, or happier. I've had mine since they first came out, special ordred it (it being a Sport S) with almost no additional add ons, or "Fluff" and built it up from there. $44k was the starting price, and I've dumped a lot of unrecoverable income into it, and its still not top notch compared to some of the rigs on this page, but I love it. I've been offered as much as $50k for it, but not selling. (i'm sure I'm in it another $15k) just saying the jeep dream doesn't include pavement. Get out and use it for jeep stuff, and you'll be happier and love your jeep more. I hope to see you on the trails. Because that is the best place to be.

Just got this email about my JT’s value from Carvana ?. I couldn’t even imagine selling it that low. I’m sure they’d list in the very low 30s

It is funny how much more worth the truck has to me from a personal standpoint though

I picked up my 2020 Sport in 2019 and paid $45k for it. Traded it in and was offered $28k and I was able to keep my Softtop, Cargo cover, Side steps and bed rails. it had 35k miles on it. Picked up a used 2022 Rubicon for $41k. I feel like we did ok on the deal.
