Update - 7100 miles second oil change done and break in seems done. Gas mileage is now around 18.7 with similar travel behavior.

I usually get 20 avg, with hwy city combo in my 23 overland high altitude stock auto.
My old straight 6 manual TJ gets 14, so this is better.

However, my JT has gas spit back issues--at fill up with the nozzle auto stop--this is an ongoing fight at the dealership--but Jeep knows as it was a preset option on a survey--when they "fixed" the spit back my mpg dropped to 17--now that it's spits gas again mpg is back up to 20--ugh--not sure I'm going to keep it--Jeep needs to fix it

I get an average of 18.5 - 20 35x12 tires and MOPAR lift, 3/4 height bed rack, steel bumper, if I run around with the soft top open that goes to 14.5-15, especially on the highway at speed. but I usually don't have it open on the highway, way to loud for me.

My first JTR initially got 16.5 to 18 mpg with no modifications. With 37’s and 2” lift mileage fell to 12, the added the RSI smart cap with rack and boxes and winch mileage fell to an average of 10.8 over 3,300 miles. Finally decided the 4:10’s had to go, went with 5:38’s. Drove it another 35K miles finally back to 13.5 mpg.

My new JTR first 1,200 miles full stock configuration average 15.6 mpg. Installed my RSI smartcap with rooftop boxes and winch. Still running factory 33’s and 4:10’s. For the last 800 miles averaged 13.6 mpg.

All mileage is manually calculated over several tanks of fuel.

We live at 2,100’ and travel from the coast to the mountains. Most driving is on the highway at 70 and 75 mph.

That's right in line with the mileage my last two JTs had on them when things got better mpg-wise.
Looking forward to getting out of the 16s with this heavy Mojave X - will never match or even come close to my last two, but hoping it's better than 16 even in mild driving and moderate speeds.

2024 v6 auto with 37” tires and 2.5 inch lift 4.10 gears. I run the tires at 32 pounds because I live down a long dirt road, and get 16.5 average mog.

my son has an older Gladiator and gets in the 13 range. Wonder if the newer motors are getting better mpg…
