Here's my Aussie assumptions and really rough checks. Almost stacks up 1 for 1 against the AEV for physical specs

Bed is about 1.6 m or 63" (5.2ft)....so only a little salty croc in the back....could still fit a big enough coiled up taipan to give you a fright though

AWESOME! Was starting to get really frustrated so this definitely helps!!!

But this is what I've been saying for a month or more. They have "real" JT mules that they are doing a really good job to hide from us and the press.

Rear window is exactly as I expected: slider.

Do I see two *NEW* wheel designs???

If the CAD photos are a foreshadowing, we will also see different hood(s) too when the camo comes off.

This gives me a big hope that JT will be at the L.A. Auto Show!!!

One has to think, with the above Africa concept from a couple years ago, Jeep is thinking hard about leveraging all this money spent on engineering the JT chassis and suspension. It would not take a lot to create another vehicle category that would repurpose the parts and manufacturing process of the JT and JL. Simply marry the JT cab to a shorter JT bed, produce a larger JL roof cap, and create a new rear door (although I'd suggest just recycle the JL's rear hatch and tailgate).

With the exodus of the iconic Land Rover Defender 110, Jeep should really take the opportunity to fill the void left by this vehicle. There is limited competition for a SUV with body on chassis, straight axle front and rear, and 4x4.

Both domestic U.S. and worldwide markets would likely embrace such a vehicle.

The closest SUV vehicle they offer in the FCA lineup is the Dodge Durango. And you can't get Durango 4x4 except in the ludicrous Durango SRT 6.3 which is a $65K "street" SUV. They wouldn't be cannibalizing any existing sales (save perhaps some 4 door JLs) and the Africa would EXPONENTIALLY outsell the Durango.

While I'm set on a JT Gladiator ...FCA is sitting on a goldmine with a potential lineup that includes:
- Wrangler JL 2door
- Wrangler JL 4 door
- Gladiator JT
- Africa JL/JT

Yea I said this earlier in here that the JT frame with a JL body that has 3rd row seating would be amazing and if you could order it without the 3rd row seating could be a huge hit for Overlanding.

I have been thinking for some time that the rear bumper will have the steps like the Africa concept above. As for the JT in the pictures my guess is they probably added something rigid to the camo to keep the wind from depressing the covering into the step indent giving it away.

So if the rear bumper is indeed similar to the African concept then I have a problem to work out. You see my original plan (assuming similar build options to the JL) was to get the plastic bumper and look for aftermarket steel options. There are some really great aftermarket front bumpers but I have not yet seen a rear that really jumps at me, making me think I should buy the steel bumper package OEM. If I do that however that eats into my budget for replacing the front bumper.

Decisions, decisions. Maybe I should just wait and see what is actually offered before I get to worked up.

When is the revel again??? Oh yeah, we don't know yet.
