Glad to hear they found it.

It amazes me how dealerships drop you like leper once the deal is done and you drive off. Had you been sitting in the finance office short of signing the deal on contingent of them getting you the 2nd key , they would have shit that key pretty quick.
After not getting a 2nd fob for a new vehicle once ( Toyota), I’ve done this very thing ever since. I’m not taking another dealer’s word for it; both key fobs need to be present at the time of signing.

I have dealt with some decent dealerships that will actually lock the second set of keys away from the general floor employees. Usually with a GM, Service or Finance manager only has access until delivery. Keeps the mess of keys just floating around everywhere with no accountability down to a minimum

You should have gotten two. BTW - if my dealer told me to look inside "it ought to be there somewhere" - I'd tell them then anyone could steal my Gladiator by just getting in, starting it up and driving away. So....I'd like to return it until you can work out YOUR problems. That should do it. LOL
