Hey folks, I'm just getting around to posting this, but I've sold my Gladiator and will be leaving the forum. I wanted to say thanks to everyone on this amazing forum for the help and assistance you provided over the last 4 years. Owning the Gladiator was a great experience, made more enjoyable by the members herein. Although you cost me a lot of $$ in mods, I don't hold it against you :) Great place with great members who live the JT lifestyle to its fullest. I wish you all great adventures, and Happy Trails!! Thanks again for all the support for the last 4 years. Stay safe everyone.

P.S. Looks like @Lunentucker and I had the same idea.

My .02 - it's a combination of economics, market value stuff, poor quality services that seem to becoming the norm, unknown reliability concerns, and warranty struggles and stress.

If I was guessing based off the vehicle choice it's either needed more towing capacity, space, or comfort. I love the gladiator because I use it hard off road. If I didn't the ram was a much better street truck. Similar pricing. Similar poor fuel economy, although usually a couple mpg better, way more power from the v8, much better tow rig, and much more spacious and comfortable interior. The only places the gladiator wins are off road/ off road mod ability. Easier and cheaper to lift, fits down trails better, handles big tires better, cheap and easy winch/bumper availability and installation, solid axle durability, etc. If I want going to go off road or was just going to stick to fire roads I wouldn't consider a gladiator personally.

I agree with the above. If it wasnt for the offroading, I would be driving a Silverado. Was looking at them when the JT announcement came out and held up a couple months to look at. Loved my JKU but had to depart due to needing a truck and went with a Tacoma. Wasnt happy with the GEN 3 Tacoma and was looking at replacing with a Silverado..... Then this happened 😎

Take care Rainman, enjoy the new ride.
People come and go it’s a thing, some have a lease up , some get new rides every few years, some get bored , and some just have a bad experience. Seems like a lot of good guys leaving right now but more have joined and asking for help or proud to show off their ride. I typically run trucks 8 years or so, but have to admit my Mojave is getting old but it is still my favorite of all I owned and 16 years does not seem out of the question for ownership, although that would put me at about 80! Screw it ,it’s just a number and the girls will still wave to the old man in the jeep!….Jack

I feel the admins need a sticky post for all the quitters. Kind of like a graveyard. RIP!

People come and go. Dude wouldn’t have posted his nice words if he didn’t enjoy the experience. Best wishes to him and his new ride. People switch around. My wife has gone from Honda to Toyota to Lexus to Volvo to Hyundai. All SUVs, all good experiences.

You can kill yourself wanting something you don’t have. I am happy with my Jeep. Sure, there are some tweaks that would be nice but every car has those. Love what you got!!
