It's definitely not your lift. I'm stock other than 35s, but mine started leaking on the stock tires. 2 weeks strong with no leak now haha
He acted like it was very common. As long as they fix it. Im good with it.

I had a JLUR and it was listed as M210 and M220 axles which is the same on my JTR build sheet. But I've also read there are differences. I'm not sure what the reality is!
Your Gladiator are Dana 44s no matter what, the 220 and 210 would be ring gear size of the Dana 44 if I recall correctly.

The rear axle under a Colorado is a Dana M220, a Dana 46 - I think that's right.
Then there are the high pinion and low pinion Dana 44s.

The 2007 Nissan Frontier was the first vehicle I know of that had the M220 designation D44 (although there could have been some others previously). Mine had a leak. Guess which side…

This is what I found for Nissan use of Dana 44 - but no mention of the ring gear size.

2004–2007 Titan (32 spline)
2008–Present Titan (35 spline)
2005–Present Frontier/Xterra NISMO, Off-Road, Pro-X models, and all manual transmissions.

The Dana 44 designation goes back to before I was born.

Hmmm, how many guesses do I get??

+1 to the Axle Seal party. 21 Willys Diesel. MDH: 050400 if anyone is still tracking these manuf dates.

Took 3 weeks in the shop for the fix. Apparently once replacing the axle, the ABS warning kept triggering. They replaced those sensors as well.

Well, I need to correct myself. The 2005 Frontier used a M226 Dana 44 axle. It was still my passenger side that leaked.

Wow! Delivered my truck to the dealer for the front axle repair on April 8th an got it back yesterday. 19 Weeks Down!
Finally convinced them and FCA to change out the entire front axle and it was completed yesterday. Apparently FCA kept sending axle parts for a gas version of the 210M axle which is different than the diesel, so the complete axle assembly was the only way to get the correct parts. Freaking bizarre. Also, heads up to others, dealer service manager told me that this part number is no longer being made available and there were only 3 axle assemblies in stock in North America. Now there are only 2. Maybe.
The leaking RR seal got repaired at the same time.
So here we go again! Same issue with this new front axle, a rotational grinding noise this time from the front right. Last time was front left. Dealer is contacting Jeep to determine next steps. No idea how long it will be again this time. On the day this is repaired and returned to me it will be for sale. I have had it with failures on this Jeep. I need to go buy another brand this week just to have a vehicle. The dealer was good to me last time by giving me a LE Rubicon, but I will replace this vehicle now so it is time to move on. I will continue to communicate the issue(s) here until it is fixed and sold and then sign off.

My JT is 9/2021 and its leaking. Found out today.
Update.
After I left 3 voicemails at my local service department and nobody returning my calls, I was able to get a hold of someone to schedule service. Had to call my salesman to get a direct line to one of his service advisor buddies.

The experience.
Scheduled an appt for 1/24 at 8 am. Took my truck in to be inspected for the right rear axle leak. Was told it was going to have to stay as the repair could not be done the same day due to staff shortage and work backlog. Requested to have the engine oil and filter changed along with a tire rotation since my truck was going to be at the dealer longer than 1 day (my first service at 2535 miles) Rental car was provided.

Received a call the following day (tuesday) from my service advisor. The tech confirmed the leak and advised to replace the right rear axle shaft assembly (I keep hearing housing for some reason?).

Wednesday. Received a call at about 3pm my truck was ready! Time to go drop off the challenger rental and pick up my JT!

Checked the truck over while still by the service department. First thing I noticed was that the tires were not rotated even though the service report stated it was done (per jeep wave agreement). Checked engine oil condition. It looked new and at a different level prior to dropping off my truck.

Went back and spoke with the service advisor to let him know that the tire rotation wasn't done. Tire rotation was credited back after I had to show him proof of it not being done. Showed him the gear oil and dirt mixture prior to repair was still there confirming that the right rear wheel was removed to perform repair but not rotated to the front. Service departments can't be counted on because they try to pull these shenanigans.

Overall, looks like the leak has been fixed but only time will tell.

Womp. Was really hoping I'd be one of the lucky ones. Noticed this last night. 1000km (600mi). I had 37s on for a week, maybe a couple hundred kilometers. I was swapping the stock tires back onto it and found this. Driver side rear axle leak. Built October 2021.

Driver's side yeah. As for being the first, I don't know. I didn't read through this entire thread, but the posts I did read were all passenger side. Maybe I'm a trailblazer! Do I get a hat, or something? Lol

I do love beer, but I live in Fredericton NB. I'm sure the ecodiesel would love a 4500km drive to really stretch it's legs tho!
