So what about all the people that had replacement axles already and they are leaking a second or 3rd time after replacement I'm going in for my 2nd replacement in 2 weeks
The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.

+1 I don’t believe humans are making this situation any better. I had 2 more leaky axle replacements before the full rear housing replacement so far resolving the issue.

You are calling fishermen insane? Don't they sit for an hour, dropping the line in over and over expecting that big one - and all they get is nibbles?

And for those who believe Einstein actually said that, sorry, nope. Internet lore.
insanity might be crediting that quote to Einstein over and over again. He never said it. It's been stated many different ways through many different methods (plays, books, and more) and was part of some quotes from Al-Anon and other groups.

Einstein would have followed this maxim - In quantum mechanics you can do the same thing many times and get different results.
Naïveté is doing the same thing over and over, and always expecting the same result.

I knew there was a reason I stopped fishing?.
I should clarify that the quote isn’t for us folks that have to bring our vehicles in over and over for the same thing to get the same result it’s the corporate ones that dish out the same repairs over and over hoping to achieve something different.

These quotes are good to reference when you’ve reached your limit and you have to gift them to someone that needs to hear it.

You recall my complaint to FCA over my blown transmission… I had a “definition” of bureaucrat inserted within it that I thought long and hard over before I sent it. You wouldn’t have read the definition because I had a little more patience within. It was very much deserving non the less and I may be forced to use it.

Bureaucrat- An official who works by fixed routine without exercising intelligent judgement.

I may have pulled it out but it formed the foundation of the complaint.

I don’t want to high Jack this thread, let’s get back to solving leaking seals!

I'm beginning to see more complete assemblies (entire differential/axle assembly, the whole thing) being replaced and a few more suggesting they are on their second or third right axle shaft assy and getting leaks again........

Would be interesting to see how many have had the leak fixed with a replacement shaft assembly, no further issues vs. those who have had 2 or more and still have leaks vs. complete rear ends to resolve things.
Get out of the "anecdotal" mode and into some real numbers.

I posted this poll awhile back and it hasn't picked up any steam but I will encourage everyone once again to go vote here so we can gauge exactly that.

So here we go again! Same issue with this new front axle, a rotational grinding noise this time from the front right. Last time was front left. Dealer is contacting Jeep to determine next steps. No idea how long it will be again this time. On the day this is repaired and returned to me it will be for sale. I have had it with failures on this Jeep. I need to go buy another brand this week just to have a vehicle. The dealer was good to me last time by giving me a LE Rubicon, but I will replace this vehicle now so it is time to move on. I will continue to communicate the issue(s) here until it is fixed and sold and then sign off.
Well, I did it. Gladiator is gone on Tuesday and my new ride will be a 2022 Ram Rebel GT hemi. Nicely equipped and sweet sounding with a factory installed Borla exhaust.

So, it has been a pleasure to have been on this site, and my compliments to everyone for making it an information rich environment, as well as thanks for being welcoming. Best of luck to all of you, and I hope you enjoy your JeeP!

He's not really left the family, just went over to the other cousin's side. I'd have been looking at Ram and Ford had I not gotten a Jeep but then I didn't want a BIG truck again. I've had enough of those.

Well before I bought that on Sunday, I went to BMW on Friday and almost came away with a 2022 X4 M Competition. But at $120,000.00 it was a no go. So I have a Ram, nicely equipped.
Thanks for sharing all your insights here Shadows.

Just sharing what I had heard. I hope that replacement permanently fixed the leak on mine.

I hope it fixed yours too, but many have had replacements 2 and 3 times with the leak returning soon after.

I just had my first, hopefully only, replacement and I am currently at 300 miles and no leak so far. Just curious how many miles did people have a leak after a replacement?

I havnt noticed any leaking so far after my appointment, but I think the dealership did a really good job of cleaning it up
