Interesting, maybe something I pick up for the next hose/clamp repair. I only have traditional pliers and needle nose pliers. No angled pliers.
It's a cheap tool designed for those type of clamps. They lock out so they were pretty good for our use.

Like I said, the one in the picture are fairly used, notice the nuts stuck on the cable being used as spacers. We stretched the cable, how I'll never know. But they are a cheap harbor freight version.

Keep the hose! …you never know…
I’m going to guess we all have a corner in the garage with all the you never know Jeep stuff. Off the top of my head I have my original front and rear bumper, set of red shocks and front springs from my stock Willy’s, set of rubicon take off springs/control arms/end links, fender light assembly, bronze hooks from 392 steel take off bumper.

Repair is done I ordered a new coolant take and unfortunately had to order the entire hose assembly to get a new bottom coolant tank connection.

Fix turned into a larger job as I could not get to a hose clamp from the engine bay. I took the drivers side wheel off and removed the fender liner. That gave me the angle and room I needed. Picture is looking up towards the bottom of the coolant tank/leaking connection, and hose clamp.

About a $90 fix. The coolant tank was $35 and I probably could have just changed the connection and kept the old tank but happy with a new tank.

Well, I guess my JT finally had to get the reservoir leak. So this morning I started the Jeep to let in warm up due to heavy dew on windshield and I normally do anyway. So I go back out to get in and wow the antifreeze was strong . Got a flashlight cause it was 5:15am and lifted the hood and it was leaking from the small hose return line on top. Well, it was slow so I chanced it and drove to work after I got there I took the line off. And the inner metal liner had slide back about ÂĽ of an inch leaving the hose just sorta dangles there no way to tell how long it had been like that slide back and guess it finally tugged on it till it crack on the top side. We'll, I called O'Reillys Auto Parts and they had me one by 12:30pm and I picked it up after work and changed it .
Of all the things with this change out . The 10mm bolt was extremely hard to get out cause I couldn't get my big hands in there to get it . After a few loses of skin I got in there with my finger tips and got it out. The bottom hose was easy just pull the keeper back and the hose came right off. And went back on just as easy .
