Leather interior 23' Mojave dissimilar leathers?

Anyone with a 23' or any black leather interior,.. notice the rear seats do not match the "middle rear seat & back" not sure if that's called a jump seat. But the primary leather interior is a cool hued dark charcoal and the jump seat is a warm hued dark charcoal.. looks kind cheap... Wonder if this is only seen in the 23's

The seat material is actually Pleather: Real leather from an artificial cow.

The seats are "Leather Trimmed" Which means just the center seat and back portion is some actual leather material and the rest of the seat like the bolsters and is a glorified vinyl material that simulates leather. I would speculate the center rear seat section is a all vinyl material with no real leather and I expect there to be some color variation.

Those days of any real leathers are long gone for anything under $100k. The whole interior is pleather, some parts are thicker though.
My old SC430 has leathers and woods through out, beautiful even by today's standard.

Oh... We'll I paid for leather / peeleather then assuming it will last longer without as much wear as fabric.. I hope that's the case.

Well that mismatch is definitely disappointing. For $2k I would expect better. Seems like getting Katzkin is a better option for the price. Wish you could get the center armrest in the rear on the cloth seats too.

I read somewhere that leather in cars these days are coated with a clear protective coating - probably why you are getting a sheen in your pictures and making the middle look different? Also with the so called penetrating leather seat cleaners and conditioners - they just sort of sit there on top and don't soak in because they can't. I have used them only to have a slippery seat for some time.

That does not look right... mine are the same color... Mine is a 2022...

On my 2021 JTM, the center sections of the rear seats have a very slightly different 'sheen' or 'hue' to them. You can only really notice the difference when it is dark outside and the interior lights are lighting up the inside. In the daylight they look fine - they actually look just like the pictures posted by wachuko above. Also, if you are using a flash for your pictures that will also make the difference look worse than it really is.

Take a peek at it at night with the overhead lights on.. In the day it's not as drastic.. thankfully
