SO many options these days... any good recommendations for good treatment of leather on the seats and dash?

I recall years ago armoral was terrible and caused plastics to crack. not sure if their products there days are better. Just would hate the leather to dry out sitting in the sun AAALLLL Summer long.

I use Lexol products on all my leather interiors and I am happy with the results.

For sitting out in the sun, get a set of window shades. The best windshield sunshade, without any doubt IMO, is the Intro-Tech Ultimate Reflector. The fit is excellent, it doesn't cause any hazy residue to form on the glass, it has a nice soft felt backing that doesn't mark up the dash, it comes with a storage pouch, and it folds up to a very compact size.

The reflective silver ones are:
JP-25A-R with brake assist.
JP-25-R without brake assist.

I haven't bought shades for the side windows (yet), but I really like the looks of the YelloPro ones:

I just bought and used some cleaner-treatment spray made by Griots Garage and I am not thrilled with the results so I don't recommend it.

I’ve used Mother’s protectant on plastics after reading a number of recommendations. I know your question was focused towards leathers, but I assumed it may also encompass the other plastic components open to the elements. I‘ve used and like this product, but thought it spend. However, new parts are more spendy.

Noting this tread is on protecting interiors, I bet that groundhog could eat a hole through a Jeep interior in no time flat.
No self respecting groundhog would consider eating a Jeep leather seat.;)

I use Lexol. Now for my question, what part of the seats and trim are actually leather? The seating surface itself? the seat backs? They are so good at making vinyl look like leather now its hard to tell. Dont want to be wasting leather treatment on plether.

Have cloth seats now but when I had my Porsche I used Adams leather care loved it not slick and no nasty residuals and smelled like new leather. It was perfect for convertible protection

I've been using Obenauf's for years. Its great stuff for preserving and conditioning leather. Makes even old hard leather soft and supple.
