I never end up using it. The window is so low the top of the frame of the door window or windshield acts as an always active sunshade. Only time i move em is to lock/unlock the roof panels
I only wish - I'm 5'8" and this time of year the sun is just in the wrong spot in the late afternoon. The window frame does nothing to block the sun. Even in the summer late afternoon into the evening it's coming right in at me. I use it on the side window fairly regular. My wife is shorter and uses the passenger visor the same way even more than I do.

My experience, after having the driver's side visor replaced already (after about a year of ownership), is that flipping it up/down is not the issue - it's swinging it towards the window once it's down that causes the piece of crap plastic joint to give out. REALLY frustrating on a vehicle that costs this much. Now I just flip it up/down, but refrain from swinging it to the window.

Looks like a possible solution to the issue. Something so simple. Makes you wonder why the Jeep engineers couldn’t come up with something similar. Obviously it’s not just a JT problem so they must have already been aware it’s a shitty design…

Why not raise the seat up to give you more coverage by the Sun visor?

I have the seat up a bit but if I do more then I can't see out the windshield when the visor is down at the front.

The point I was making isn't that the sun visor doesn't work, it was a response to ScottBeach - "you don't need the sun visor over there because the door frame blocks the sun".
My visor works ok when swung to the left - he was saying it's not necessary because his door frame blocks the sun. Mine doesn't, so I use the visor. Problem solved on the LEFT, but then my seat is so high I can't see out the front with the visor down.
With my seat up where I have it, I can't see out the windshield with the visor down at the front and with stop lights way up high, it's hard to see the lights. (make that impossible)
Like said elsewhere - it's just a bad imbalance of things with the Jeep design we love.

Dealer has replaced my driver side twice. Built in garage opener, so it’s not cheap. Each time I waited for months for the replacement part to come in. I bought the metal repair clips for both my son’s Gladiator and mine as a preventative measure. Seems like a good idea.
