Looking for tire suggestions. Working a deal on a new Gator Rubicon and a PO Gobi Rubicon, and hoping I end up with one in the drive. Looking at doing 17x8.5 Icon wheels (TBD) and 37x12.5 tires (2" Mopar Lift). Hoping to keep the unsprung weight down as much as you can on something that size. What does everyone recommend as the best daily driver MT/hybrid. Have run Toyo's, BFGs, and Nittos before, but nothing this big. Appreciate any feedback.
The new Kumho Road Venture MT71 is a nice tire. I run their KL71 tires on my JTR, and they are great. almost 5,000 miles and still look brand damn new. I got mine from @Discount Tire

They make them in a 35x12.50r17... Only $277 a tire!

Also, with your Rubicon it has the 4.10 gears, and 4:1 transfer case. With the 4.10 gears, with a Tazer recalibration to 37" tires, and adding an iDrive throttle control unit set to U-7, you will NEVER notice that you're running 37" tires with stock gears. And when offroading, the 4:1 transfer case really helps with the 37" tires to not feel under-geared.

This is my personal experience with a JTR on 37's with stock gears over the last [nearly] 5,000 miles. I lifted and added 37's when my truck had around 250 miles on it. So, pretty much it's entire life.

I created a spreadsheet that you might find helpful, it includes the size and weight for some common tires.

Thanks for the feedback and suggestions on reprogramming.

Sorry for the REALLY late reply. I ordered my Gladiator 7 weeks ago, hoping it shows up next week. Is that a 2.5 inch Mopar lift? And is that the granite paint color? Looks awesome!

RK ProX 3” with 35 K02s. Once I save some more funds to build my axles I’m putting 39 KM3s on it.

I should be getting my Gladiator from the factory in about a week. I got the soft top, too. How do you like it? Any issues?

Try the Kumho Road Venture MT KL71 tires in 37x13.50r20... That's what I'm running, and they have been great! Even up to 90 MPH on the highway (temporarily passing someone). 3 of the 4 took less than 2.5 oz of weight, and the 4th one took around 4.5 oz or weight. So, they are VERY consistent tires. They're quiet and ride smooth, too. Pull great offroad, and cost almost the same as the Patagonias. I got my from @Discount Tire here on the forum.

I really like your tires. I wish they made a 37" for a 17" wheel. Maybe when these 35" Pats wear out, they will.
Pic is the new 17x9 wheels that replaced the JL Rubi wheels. 1.5"front, 3/4"rear spacers.

Thanks. Yeah, I'm honestly surprised they don't offer them in 37x12.50r17. You could always call Kumho and explain to them that the Jeep community runs 17" wheels for the most part, and that a set of KL71's in 37x12.50r17 or 37x13.50r17 would be big sellers in the US market. Who knows? Maybe they'll start making them...

From what I hear, the Yoko Geo G003 tires are a great option.

Or if you offroad a lot, the BFG Krawler T/A in 37x12.50r17 on a second set of wheels for when you go the trails wouldn't be a bad idea...I'm considering doing this in the future.
