Bumping. Anyone running the Toyo Open Country MTs on stock wheels?
I’ve got the RT’s in a 315/70R17. I think it looks good. Actually got a matching wheel & tire for the spare as well, plenty of room.

Looks really nice! How does attach to the bed if you don’t mind me asking? I currently have bed rails in mine. Tera flex trail rails, mostly for tie stuff down etc
It uses smaller topper clamps. I have homemade aircraft track "trail rails" and they clear no problem. They also sell a clamp that fit the OEM trail rail.

Jeep Gladiator Let's see your 285/75 17 tires 6916D70C-1A6A-4772-8D8F-5C032CE74D1E
Long term report on the Yokohama Geolandar M/T in 285/75/17 I had them on my gladiator for 20,000 miles approximately and pulled them off to go on a new Ram 2500 where they ran for another 30,000 miles. I was not religious about rotations - I had 1 set of tires on 2 sets of wheels and on two trucks (Gladiator and the Ram). I loved them on both and thought the size worked well for the type of off roading I am now doing. Its been too long but I remember the gas MPG hit on the Gladiator was apporoximately 1-mpg less than the factory wheels. The Yokohama's have gone up in price, which is the only reason I ran them on the Gladiator; they were significantly cheaper than Toyo's Nitto's and BFG's at the time - now in some sizes they are more expensive. I always wonder what experience a tire reviewer has when they review tires. So I'll share mine: I'm 43 - I've literally owned Jeeps since before I could drive, until my mid tweenties it was BFG A/T or M/T with a loyalty quite fierce, the size was always 33x12.50x15. I worked for Discount Tire in High School and on occasion to suppliment my income while in the Marine Corps. Around 23 or 24 I stepped up to 35's and have not run a tire smaller than that diameter until I ordered these Yokohama's for the Gladiator in 2020. Most of what I've run have be 37's occasionally 40's - once some 42" - but a lot of 35's and 37's the MFG's have been anything but BFG since the KO2's came out and I ran them for a time on my 07 JK. Around 2007 I started Running Toyo Open Country Muds and have ran them on more rigs than I can count. Other than being heavy - the Open Country's are a staple tire - could be lighter but that is my only complaint. The Yokohama's worked well got great milage and I'll definitely run them again - on the JL Sport that should be delivered to my local dealership in a few weeks.

Discount Tire was a great experience - still one of the best Jobs I've ever had.

I was wondering if a 315 with a wider rim would fit in the spare well. Looks like it does. Great. I've ordered the MOPAR 2" lift kit so I shouldn't have any trouble with fit off road.

Semper Fi to you. USMC 1968-76. I've been looking at Toyo AT3s in 305-70/17. They are pretty light, but Tire Rack rates them the lowest in wet conditions. Anybody running these? I like Duratracs, but very expensive.

Semper Fi - 1997 - 2006/ 2010-12 - I have not run the AT3's but recently had an experience with the Duratracs in Montanna, good on Ice shite on Snow.

I like the Duratracs, but they cost and arm and a leg. Are they worth the price?

I ran AT3s for about 15k miles, 285/75/17. They perform great in wet and snow, they are 3pmsf which makes a big difference. I ran AT2s in the same size on my JKU and they were nowhere as good in wet or snow.

That's great Mac. Just what I needed to know. I've got the wheels, and the Mopar 2" lift (both on sale), now I just need my damn Gladiator Rubicon.

Better than any mud terrain I’ve had, but probably not quite as good as the BFG AT. The lugs are larger, like a mud terrain, but are mildly siped. I believe the RT is marketed as a hybrid tire - not as aggressive as a MT, but more aggressive than an AT. It certainly didn’t feel unsafe, but I wasn’t driving on an interstate at 70+ mph speeds. No experience with them under those conditions.
