Falken Wildpeaks with a -6 offset on my Sport S, no lift. Real happy with this size. What an upgrade from the lovely Sport wheels!
Is yours the max tow?

Nope, no max tow package. No fitment issues in this setup.
I've got a similar build on order & I'm trying to figure out how much poke I'd get from different offset aftermarket wheels.
If it's not too difficult, could you possibly post a pic showing the tire poke?

From what I've seen and read, it sounds like I should not have any issues putting 285/75R17 BFG KO2s on a 100% stock Sport with Max Tow.
Is this correct?

I'm completely new to Jeeps and offroading, so I don't want to dive straight into lifts, spacers, offsets, regearing, trimming/cutting, etc..
That said, I would like some slightly more robust tires.

It sounds as though this size only has a minor impact on mpg and towing capacity, so my only concerns are rubbing and potentially adding too much strain.

Are these sized tires safe to just plug and play on a Max Tow?

You’ll want a small spacer if you off-road. I had the slightest rub at full articulation on an overland with rubicon suspension, 1.5 spacer but a winch and bumper pulling it down a bit.

285/75/17 Nitto Ridge Grappler on Quadra Tech Morphic 17x8.5 wheels with +10 offset. 35"'s would fit no problem.

Right now it has a Terra Flex 1.5 Level but after the winch and bumper install I want heavier weight springs up front and more lift. I am changing over to a Rubicon Diesel take off suspension in the next two weeks along with the Terra Flex that should make it sit just right. I may only put the 1" spacer in. Most people have gotten a little over an inch lift from the take off suspension alone.

Do these poke out much on the stock rims?

This looks sick and just what I needed. I am trying to think about the long game. In the future i would like to put a 2" lift on and i wondered if the 34's would be lost in the wheel well. But this looks really good.

Thanks! I tried hard to find my ideal perfect combo. I didn't want to go with a lift larger than 3" or move up to a 35"/E rated tire. This was the right balance for me and should do everything I need it to do.

There should be more pics in my build thread if you want different angles.

Any rubbing
Negative. None whatsoever. Certainly changes the vehicles dynamics, floats more, gets about 2mpg worse. You'll also want to to the size reprogram with a tazer , etc. ABS gets confused otherwise.
