I would only use metal braid that will handle your max compressor output and maybe a little more for safetyI want to add a tank to my onboard air supply. my question is, what hose should I be using to run from the air compressor to the tank? is there a guide I can follow? Google brings more confusion than answers.
Unfortunately, it's a bit of a distance. the compressor is mounted in the wheel well using the Grimm off road bracket with the dual ARB. the tank is located under the bed behind the transfer case using the Maximus 3 air cradle. Ill be using it as just a mounting location for a 3 or 5 gallon tank (which ever I can make fit).I agree with previous statements. How far will tank be from compressor? Thinking about flex when wheeling etc.
running the ARB dual compressor. What type of compressor you running? You don't need steel braided lines. We ran 200psi on standard rubber hoses for years in racing. Where hoses are getting whipped around and tugged and pulled. I've never had an air hose fail. We didn't use the thin plastic coiled 1/4" hose, not even in the shop.
A good rubber air hose will work.
What's the point of the tanks? Unless running lockers, that dual should do just fine filling the tires.running the ARB dual compressor.
No lockers here, but I am able to run an impact wrench off of the dual compressor.lockers and air tools
i tried, the results were... sad lolNo lockers here, but I am able to run an impact wrench off of the dual compressor.
