I am currently running 33s and have the Daystar 1.5 inch spacers (found them for $65 shipped) sitting in the garage for my next day off. My plan is a level until the 33s need to be replaced and then 35s and MAYBE more lift.

As she sits now:

to be clear these pics are WITHOUT the Daystar 1 1/2' spacers right? When you put them in are you planning on keeping stock shocks/springs or upgrading?

So help me understand... I get the purpose of a lift kit. But why a leveler? Aren't pickup trucks designed to angle forwards slightly because once the bed is full of crap they'll end up level all on their own? If you add a leveling kit and then fill your truck bed won't you end up angled backwards now due to the extra weight?

As I understand it, yes, if you got the truck to be perfectly level and then load up the back or tow something heavy, the nose (and lights) could be pointed upward. That is why several folks did the Daystar kit which includes front and rear spacers so it still maintains a slight bit of rake. That way towing/hauling would make it closer to level. But some folks don't plan to haul or tow much and like the level look as opposed to nose down.

It's all about your preference and plans for towing/hauling! :like:

Yes, these pictures are pre-level, hope to install the spacers Sunday. The daystar 1.5 kit comes with shock extensions, I plan to use those and the factory shocks until I decide to go higher.

https://www.suspensionconnection.com had a 10% off coupon a few weeks ago, brought the price down to $64 and change shipped.

As for dealing with squat when loaded, I will be putting a set of airbags in the rear springs. I used the airlift 1000s on my Ram with good results, figure they will work well for the Gladi as well.

I have towed a 6,000 pound boat with my Sport S Max tow. The rear drop is minimal. Very minimal. The rubicon would probably see a touch more since the suspension is a bit better with the fox shocks. I doubt many are towing much more than I am with it and I say that in a humble way. It’s just a capable truck.

How hard is it to install the daystar level... about to order it. That’s a newb question, but on all my trucks I have always had a shop do it but I feel like I am capable of doing it especially if it doesn’t require an alignment... just a steering adjustment.

Also who has added the rear daystar level kit that wasn’t happy with just the front. I thought the front would be fine. I don’t want to sacrifice ride quality... but def don’t prefer the rake now with the 35’s. Looks fine but not perfect.

Have not installed mine yet, may knock it out this afternoon. Looking at it, I figure it shouldn't take more than an hour and a half to install on the front. You should be able to do it yourself with a set of Jack stands and basic hand tools.

If towing with it, you want as little lift as possible.

My suggestion would be the Daystar leveling kit and some AirLift airbags for the rear

Daystar 2" lift wit 35's. Have towed a boat and minimal drop when boat is hooked up.

I would highly recommend lifting it at least 2 inches and then getting tall but not wide tires. Those skinny's are great for cutting through mud. See the attached for some idea of what i'm getting at. Plus, your mpg will go up significantly.
