These types of lights are cool. I kinda wanted to hard wire it to the aux switches. There is probably a way to do that, but it would require more electrical knowledge than I possess.

In Alabama, depending on the game warden sweeping a light across a area is spot lighting, they take everything. I mean everything,
They can't take your weapons and/or gear if you have none with you.

...sorry to contribute to the derailment...

But depending on the State,
They CAN remove the burden of owning that Gladiator you were driving.

Shining Deer is bad...
Don't do it...
Be Better...

Yeah, this has been covered. It's perfectly legal in PA. Unless you have some proof that it's "bad", whatever that means, then just go away.

So a quick google shows that it’s legal in PA until 11 PM, and generally if you do it during deer season, expect to be harassed.

Just pick you any of 100 1200-3000 lumen hand held lights running on 18650's with a deep reflector. Way more flexible than any vehicle mounted spot.

FTR: OP should clarify his original post. I read it (as did others apparently) that you were wanting to spotlight deer , which will get you loved tenderly by F&G in any State. I see that's not the case, but still.

How about the first one that does a road kill!
I wouldn't wish that on anyone. That said, it is a legal harvest, if reported.

I've never been harassed in 15 years. You cannot do it at all during rifle season.

I don't need to clarify anything. I used the term spotting. Others said spot lighting, which evidently has multiple meanings. Just because it's illegal in your state doesn't mean it's illegal everywhere. You know what they say about those that assume...

Fact check: True. Well, except the drinker part. It's ok to be wrong. No need to lash out at me.
