Um, any doc fee is a joke, I’ve never paid oneUh, no. My dealer admin fee is $599, which is less than 1% of invoice for my build. Still a smoking deal. And most dealers tack on admin/processing fees to "Regular" sales too.

Ordering is usually the best deal money wise. Ordering guarantees you get every option you want and none you dont. Ordering is the best way to get a stripped down mojave or Rubicon as well, as they normally sit on dealer lots with at least a few packages.i dont understand why people are ordering Gladiators and waiting for months. There are 10+ gladiators sitting on 4 different dealer lots in 35 mile radius of my house.
I paid $56k for a well optioned White Rubi, sitting on dealer lot (i was fortunate enough to find one with a build date before the last price increase, so that contributed to the savings).
If you are looking at a premium color, Gobi, Sting Ray, Snazzberry then maybe you will want to go the ordering route. Other than that do some research (search on Autotrader) call a bunch of dealers and make a deal.
The price will continue to go up so I highly recommend not waiting.
Congrats, you saved a 200-800 fee by paying thousands more for your car. You go get em champ! Show all us misconceived fools how to buy cars. Out the door price be damned, you're too smart for doc fees, and all us dumb-dumbs should bow in your presense.Um, any doc fee is a joke, I’ve never paid one
Brilliant!JET_83 said:[paraphrasing] It's so simple. Just pay way more for a car than you need to and they won't charge you extra fees!
lol, no I haven’t paid anymore than you nor paid doc fees, Mr. SarcasticCongrats, you saved a 200-800 fee by paying thousands more for your car. You go get em champ! How is that possible? You don't believe in the existence of under invoice deals. IF you got an under invoice deal, that you would not be debating their existence. This is definitive proof you did not get an under invoice deal. I did. My doc fee ($422) was significantly less than the amount i paid under invoice ($1,517).lol, no I haven’t paid anymore than you nor paid doc fees, Mr. Sarcastic
Nah, I didn’t and didn’t pay feesHow is that possible? You don't believe in the existence of under invoice deals. IF you got an under invoice deal, that you would not be debating their existence. So if you assume doc fee as a part of the sales price, I paid 1095 under invoice.
Since you don't believe under-invoice deals exist, how could you possibly had paid the same or less than I did? Great, you got no doc fee and MAYBE you paid invoice.
That's still $1100~ more than me, before tax.
Now if I went with granger, my sales price plus doc fee would have been $1,842 under invoice (before tax).
Gupton at 7% below including their 899 doc fee would have been $2640 under invoice if i financed, but i didn't want to.
How can you, with a straight face, tell people that you don't believe under invoice deals are real AND that you didn't pay any more than anyone else... you know you didn't pay under invoice, therefore you paid more.
Couldn't be any simpler to a rational person.
So if you paid under invoice as you claim, why are you fighting against the idea of others paying under invoice? Please explain this to me. I'd love to know your rationale. Short of that, I'll just dismiss you as a troll.Nah, I didn’t and didn’t pay fees

Yeah, and the online configuration does not necessarily align with the reality of the actual ordering system the dealer uses. Best to just go in and sit down with them.Gotcha, didn't know prior to sitting down with my salesman that it was that crazy, I've seen multiple others say the same thing about the black wheels and cold weather group and i never could understand the correlation between those two options.
There shouldn't be any changes, but on the Wrangler side of things:My understanding is that once you get your VIN, your options are allocated and there shouldn't be any changes. So you should be set.
It's shocking that you guys aren't keeping track of the Jeep dealerships offering below-invoice pricing. I'll start a thread on that. They say below invoice but I’m sure it’s MSRP, this seems to be a common misconception on here, invoice is what the dealership gets it at
So you'd buy off the lot and then forever do without something you maybe really wanted.i dont understand why people are ordering Gladiators and waiting for months. There are 10+ gladiators sitting on 4 different dealer lots in 35 mile radius of my house.

Huh? What insider did that come from? Different 3.6?There shouldn't be any changes, but on the Wrangler side of things:
Sometimes the VIN has to change due to weight class changes, but that's rare.
- Jeep notifies people to give them the option to switch to an engine that can be built (usually just between the flavors of the 3.6L V6)
- Jeep switches to a different 3.6L V6 without telling them
- Jeep gives 392 orderers the option of getting a trimmed-down Wrangler or waiting for a 2023
On that side 2023 order books are supposed to open June 15th and production starts August 15th.
Yes, there are two different 3.6L V6 Pentastar engines for the Wrangler: eTorque and ESS. There have been a few people that ordered Wranglers that Jeep switched to the other type of V6 and the resultant weight class changed. Weight class is part of the VIN.Huh? What insider did that come from? Different 3.6?
What does a VIN and weight class have to do with each other? The VIN is the serial number for THAT vehicle with THAT equipment.
