Locker(s) not engaging(21 Rubicon) 60k miles

Im hoping for some help before I chase a problem with my factory locker. I cant seem to get my lockers to engage. Im not totally sure if its just my rear locker or my front and rear locker not engaging. I haven't found what I was looking for in my searches so Im hoping someone here might be able to point me to a couple places that I should check if there is a known problem I don't know about. I have had them engage before in the past, but not this summer. Just past 60k miles and 60 months so warranty is over of course.

My thought process is to check any fuses, and check connections, but after that I don't know if there is some place within my ability I can look into.

Are you getting any fault codes?
Does the truck properly recognize that you are shifted into 4lo range?
Are you going too fast for locker engagement to be allowed?
Are you seeing any odd indications when you try the locker switch?
Are you getting any indications when you try to engage the lockers?

I’m in 4lo, it’s registered in 4lo, i can drive in 4lo, I’m not seeing any codes or extra indicator lights other than the locker symbol, i see the locker symbol blink but never go solid, i engage the locker when im still then i might move forward a few feet to see if it engages it does not. I have engaged the lockers in the past with no issue as recent as last summer. I have tried engaging while the truck was moving at a crawl to see if it locked but it did not. I was on sand while doing this. I’ve tried forward and going in reverse with nothing engaging. I do have a obd2 reader consumer level that doesn’t show active codes.

I put the truck in 4 lo, move forward to ensure its engaged, turn on locker, watch as locker blinks but never turns solid, i wait a min or so, then turn lockers off, locker light stops blinking shortly after. Tried turning truck off waiting then turning on and repeating.

Sounds like the switch is working, all requirements are being met, and the vehicle is trying to engage the lockers but they're either failing to do so or the locker position/status switch in the axle isn't reading correctly.

Check fuse 40 in the PDC and give the locker position switch harnesses a good inspection for damage or loose connections.

I get those checked, i assume after that if that doesn’t solve the issue i need to open up the axel. I saw the sensor could get liquid in it and cause damage. At that point if I’m going to empty the fluid i likely might as well just expect to change the sensor, if the fuse and connector check out as they’re supposed to
